Bye weeks in the NFL aren't too terrible...it's when Notre Dame is off that I just get bored out of my mind. I spent all day yesterday watching other games wishing ND was playing. At least in the NFL you can still follow fantasy players.

I may get to see Carolina play yet again thanks to Indy being at a different time and the Cincy market being close to here coupled with the fact that it's the showcase game. I don't think I've ever gotten to watch consecutive Carolina nonplayoff games before so that'd be freaking sweet...

You are an absolute genius, Derwood. Thanks. For my next trick, I'd also like to see the Super Bowl played in the stadium of one of the two teams playing in the game. Noooo. It's all well and good to split up a series by home stadiums but having a one-game final held in a home stadium is a very bad idea. No offense.

Jake Delhomme has compiled a career-high 366 yards and 2 TD today against the formidable Ravens D. Panthers now 4-0 with Smith on the team :D

Mark Clayton is good at scoring TDs off deflections. Once again, Carolina gives up a score just when it looks like the game is over.

Tim Ryan just said that the reason Rex Ryan is such a good defensive coordinator is that he "is not afraid to put football players on the field". Thomas Davis just limped off the field :(
