  1. It's all well and good that Cincy doesn't have a first down yet, but I wish the Panthers could've put up more than 7 so far.
  2. Tyrus was, IMO, the best of what wasn't a great many options at the Bulls' slot, and the fact that we got a Darius Songaila Lite in addition was just brilliant work on Pax's part. I'm glad to see him enjoying so much success this early.
  3. I wouldnt worry about the Irish next year, im not. Those are most definetly tough games. That's actually probably quite accurate. The Irish youngsters are going to have to learn very fast to have a good team next year-right now it looks like a 6 or a 7 win team though for next year. ND will most certainly fall off next year, but I don't think to the 6-7 win degree. Just looking the schedule, GT (if CJ goes pro), MSU (without Stanton), Navy, Air Force, Duke and Stanford should all be wins (all home games except Stanford). That's six wins right there, and of the remaining games (PSU, UM, Purdue, UCLA, BC, USC), I figure ND will take two, maybe three if they catch a break or two. At the risk of making a ridiculously early prediction, I'll hazard a guess at eight wins next year, which will be a solid start to the Jimmy Clausen era.
  4. If I made the same exact posts in this thread and rooted for, say, Clemson, no one would be uttering a word. Guaranteed.
  5. There's simply no way this is true. There are 3 downright bad teams out of only 8. Cuse, The more I think about this, the angrier I become. You made such a HUGE stink about the SEC throughout this thread and others and finally suggest that the Big East is the top conference? Remind me which games West Virginia or Lousiville or Rutgers or Pitt have played this season that make you believe this. Yeah, saying that the big east is the best conference in college football is about as indefensible as you can get. Cuse is probably the biggest homer in the thread, which is saying something considering that ndistops has half the posts in here. I wonder how long this will go on.
  6. I look forward to never seeing you ever brag about being proven right.
  7. Who unfortunately for most of this board is just as overrated. I have a personal stake in that game as well because if USC can look much better than they really are against ND, than when Cal beats them, they have a chance at a BCS bowl. I think if Cal can beat USC they'd win the Pac-10 and get a BCS bid anyway, no?

  9. OMG Baylor scores 19 unanswered in the 4th to beat Kansas 36-35. Now 3-2 in the Big 12.
  10. Our loss to them doesn't look so bad now, eh?
  11. Washington's a tough team, Ty is doing a good job over there...and with no Stanback too.
  12. That comment wasn't directed at you, but at Vance and TT who said I was being egotistical by saying they were doomed (which admittedly should've been put in less harsh terms). I've been as angry as you are now, and probably worse, at many points. I'm sorry if I exacerbated it. And look, I know that ND has no business in a national title game based on their body of work. And also that they're going to do nothing in the next four games to change that, because against Navy, UNC, Air Force and Army, what can you do? But I'm not going to sit here and say I'm not glad that, mathematically at least, ND's still alive, because I'm a fan.
  13. You're really lucky I have to bite my tongue since I'm a mod. I'm honestly curious as to why ND beating UCLA by 3 is any less an indicator of an average team as USC beating UW by 3. Both games at home. Both with a strong amount of luck. How is USC going to kill us based on that? You guys have a very good defense and you made ND work for everything. You really don't get it. It's not being explained very well. I made a prediction. Similar predictions have been made literally thousands of times in threads like this, college, pro, baseball, b-ball...why is this any different? Because it came from an ND fan? Because another NSBBer's team was involved? Because it was about an overrated team? I don't get it.

  15. But seriously, sorry Raisin. I've been in your position...near-upsets lost in the final minutes. Tough.
  16. How is this game any less pathetic than USC-Washington? You guys are showing off the epitome of the smug ND haters as much or more than me. I just told you what I've seen.
  17. This is why people don't like Notre Dame. I've seen this movie a lot of times, and it always ends with a Quinn TD. See?

  19. Haden hates Notre Dame, not sure what you're talking about.
  20. UCLA's doomed.
  21. Well, that was awful. 3 and out or bust.
  22. No-huddle here, please.
  23. Worst pass coverage ever by Lambert.
  24. Dear Notre Dame offensive line, WAKE THE HELL UP. Sincerely, ndistops
  25. Notre Dame is pissing me off. I left the BSU game early because we called a run, out of the shotgun formation, on a 4th and 1. If anyone knows how bad our running game is, you realize how awful that call was. Nate Davis threw three picks on three successive possessions, so Joey Lynch came in the rest of the game and did ok, but just couldn't get any protection. Final was 41-27 WMU.
