  1. I'd say that CB and LB must be addressed with the OL. We should be able to find DT or TE depth in FA.
  2. Unless he goes out and sign 2 OLs in FA. With Jones and Short being picked right before the Bears, I would either trade up a couple spots to get one of them or just trade down into the 2nd round, draft Sheldon Richardson and gain a 3rd round pick. I doubt he could find 2 above average O-linemen in free agency
  3. Walter's latest mock has us going DT/CB in the first 2 rounds. If Emery did that he'd come under intense fire for not addressing the OL.
  4. Umm ok. He's a rookie and when using logic we can safely assume he will only improve with more reps and training camps. How many rookies play to their ceiling in the first year? It is absolutely disgusting that Angelo couldn't draft a player in the first round to make an impact. We should have at least 2-3 more first round starters on this team from Angelo's years. No, you can't really assume that. Did Chris Williams ever get better at being a left tackle? No. I partially blame the Bears for Chris Williams. They bungled his development with coaching changes, position changes and minimal starts at LT.
  5. Being crazy, a huge distraction and a bad clubhouse guy on the wrong side of 30 all while beating your wife tend to keep guys out of the league. Football-wise I think they're better then most number 2 and 3 wideouts. I think much of the off the field stuff is overblown by the media.
  6. I love seeing older players like Moss still showing their skills. I don't get why TO and Ocho still are out of a job.
  7. Cool so the Lakers get an easier path into the Finals. Smh I'm so fuckin sick of the Lakers.
  8. Yeah what a boring uninspiring game. Arizona has no business being on TV
  9. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1/Bears-rally-to-stun-Panthers-on-Gould-field-goal/0d2bda94-7967-4f0c-a41c-e95fcc262b70 Marshall has been great for projecting a better image of Jay out there (not that it really matters). It seems like he is constantly going out of his way to make it seem like Jay is a great leader, quarterback, teammate, etc. Literally every time he is being interviewed, his answers somehow include how great Cutler is for one reason or another. Most of the time, I feel like he is going overboard, but I think he knows the crap cutler gets is overboard, and he is trying to counteract that a bit. Yeah, that's exactly what he is doing. I think he's more blatant about it when there is a potential controversy such as the fan comment too. It's a bit much tbh.

  11. That's what Walter Football had mocked this past week in the first round. I think they go DT or LB in the first round. The only reason why I don't think they go OL in the first is due to them selecting at the bottom of the first when all the first round LT players are off of the board. They'll be able to find a C or Guard in the second/forth round. Now that I think of it, is it too early to start a 2013 draft thread for us draft geeks? Cook isn't worth anything higher then a 3rd rounder. He's not done very much in the NFL and his value has taken a hit due to him wanting a trade and being in the last year of his deal. The talent and potential are there however. The Titans arent going to franchise him and will likely lose him for nothing in 10 weeks.
  12. The show today was pretty good. I like the combo of Waddle, Silvy and Jay.
  13. Even more reason to pound opposing defenses by running the ball. I think Martz and now Tice have had games that leave us scratching our heads as to why they refuse to run more. Bush got what? 4 touches yesterday? Forte only ran 17 time? Not enough.
  14. I think having Shea drop back occasionally and giving the offense different looks is dangerous as a 4-3. Our defense has been outstanding, although we are quite lucky to have our older players still producing. It buys us the time that Angelo squandered away with his crappy drafts.
  15. I'm not upset with Carimi. He will have growing pains and is still technically in his first NFL season. Jared Cook would be a great upgrade that would also help with our blocking. He can be had for less then a 3rd rounder imo.
  16. TE Jared Cook has requested a trade per reports....
  17. Those numbers include our defensive TDs right? Taking those away would alter things dramatically but it does seem like they struggle almost every game.
  18. Without looking at the complete stats I want to say offensively we're worse at this point then we were last season. That's with a big upgrade to our WRs. I think an above average TE would improve things more so then Bowe.
  19. Hmm...haven't seen any other articles mention this, and I sure didn't see it.... I saw it and I wanna say it led to a positive play....
  20. It's around, but nobody's really freaking out about it much. I think his post game comments about a "boo worthy performance" kinda nullified it for a lot of people. Some info about this weeks game: I wonder if Emery will try to upgrade before the trade deadline. Brad Biggs reporting that Dwyane Bowe would be an interesting name for Emery, though I have my doubts with us not owning a 3rd round pick.
  21. What a terrible leader and teammate. Bad body language
  22. The Bears miss Jeffrey more then I thought they would. We have no other outside threats and our TE situation is horrible. Like somebody mentioned earlier, their horrible play calling will probably doom them at some point this year.
  23. Home for 4 of those 6 and clearly a better team than their opponent in 3 (especially a traveling Seattle team). Winnable game against Seattle IF our coaching staff doesn't install a garbage gameplan. The two problems on this team going forward is Tice as the OC and an extremely suspect o-line. Anyways 31-10 Bears.
  24. bears win, you [expletive] mook. cutler did exactly what he is supposed to do and led two huge scoring drives in the 4th quarter and the bears beat an inferior team, like they were supposed to do. at no point was the game carolina's to lose. i know that doesn't fit your "the bears are terrible, the coaching's terrible, nobody wanted to coach this team because of its terrible reputation, this barf bag i ate is just terrible and everyone should be fired and die because that's the kind of guy i am this week and my friend theo, the other hanger-in-the-ass-attempted-abortion on this board, agrees" narrative that you've been spinning since before the season, but the bears are 6-1 and cutler is 11-1 in his last 12. so [expletive] off Hahaha the classic emo response. Love it. The bears were lucky to get this win. Reading the box score, they honestly probably shouldn't have won but ill take it.
  25. It was last year. Eagles game. 2010
