  1. LB Arthur Brown is set to visit the Bears
  2. Champ Bailey is old. They need to find a replacement eventually. Denver also needs a new DE after losing Dumervil. Still I think the BPA amount the two positions would be CB Desmond Trufant over CB Jonathan Banks and DE Tank Carradine. Denver selects CB Desmond Trufant.
  3. Crawford scares me. I think Emery looks like the best option at this point
  4. Jarvis Jones' stock seems to have dropped due to his bad athletic showing at the Combine, but who knows.
  5. Oakland had to go BPA and they've supposedly reached a deal for Flynn. I'd choose OLB Dion Jordan but I think they'll stay in the 4-3 scheme. I also like Star Lotulelei better then Shariff Floyd. Oakland takes DT Star Lotulelei
  6. They just inked QB McCown to a 1 year deal.
  7. Yeah the biggest strike on Emery was his first draft. In the first 4 picks, we have 1 starter in Jeffrey. He's done well these last 2 offseasons. The only knock I have on Trestman is he doesn't seem to have the meatballish social behavior that can normally rally a locker room. I don't doubt his offensive acumen, but I doubt his ability to lead men.
  8. Many pages ago I had specifically wondered out loud why teams weren't trying to foul lbj hard and get into his head with mind games. The Bulls executed this type of strategy perfectly tonight. James was clearly affected by the hard fouls and even though he stuffed the stat sheet he didn't factor much at the end and commited a huge blunder of a foul. Great coaching job by Thibs and Butler's growth is a nice thing to watch.
  9. Oh my god I need a 6 pack. Bulls came close to losing that game like 100 times
  10. Gaither was a bum who was hated by his own teammates. The dude has talent, but has decided not to capitalize on it.
  11. Bears go WR or CB in the first round. Book it.
  12. Crawford looks mortal again and our power play stinks
  13. This is likely just a wrinkle for opposing teams to prepare for. If anything though it will keep teams honest and Jay has the speed to work with it ever so slightly. The read option is here to stay.
  14. I'd love to see a few prospects to help at the LB and CB positions which I'm sure we'll be addressing in the draft. We're going to need to make CB a priority at some point being that these days you need 3 solid corners.
  15. Its the kind of deal that Williams will play hard with and we gain a pretty explosive player with talent for just a little bit of money. Great deal. Now draft a high upside LB and we'll be looking good.
  16. I'd say McCarthy is grade A, but hey that's just me.
  17. Portland took a big steaming dump all over the Bulls tonight. I'm loving the chances of getting a better draft pick with each passing week.
  18. They have Sean Lee, so I doubt they'd be willing to uproot a young promising player for old cranky 'Lach.
  19. Report out of Minn states that the Vikings are no longer interested in Urlacher's services.
  20. That doesn't mean he won't be a valuable football player and doesn't have upside, which is what I was responding to. You can go ahead and call that pick a bust after one (missed) season, but with that combination of speed and size/strength, I am not willing to. You can also not like McClellin picked where he was, but that's, again, not what I responding to. He definitely has long term upside. And saying that if Rodriguez is a tight end they don't have to sign Bennett is incredibly silly, especially when the other TEs on the roster were pure garbage. The draft is about getting value at the spot of the selection. A guy who hasn't played football in a year shouldn't have been drafted where Hardin was drafted and the fact that he already missed a year just cements the fact it was an awful pick. It does not matter if a guy maintains upside in the future. Anybody who hasn't retired and is relatively young theoretically has upside. That doesn't mean you can draft them wherever you want. Yeah it's hard to get excited about last years draft. Strikeout.
  21. I'm sad but not surprised and I do think the Bears were jerking everyone around when saying they wanted him back. This is from Mully's column at the Trib website. Kinda depressing.
  22. Carcillo and Bollig both out there is kinda brutal and redundant. If we had Sharp and Hossa I think the outcome would be very different.
  23. Yes. A hotter version of Mariah Carey
  24. Captain Serious
