  1. It's good value, but we've signed 2 FA Guards, 1 LT and drafted 1 Guard and now 1 Tackle. So basically we're cutting Slauson or Carimi?
  2. Yeah, Emery cut the 6th and 7th round picks before the season started last year. We gotta get that 7th rounder!
  3. The Bears are the Cubs of the NFL. So [expletive] stupid.
  4. Naw, I think their draft is ok but by no means the home run or triple I was expecting
  5. We really need a slot WR and CB
  6. Makes 0 sense
  7. I'd love Stills, Okafor, Swope, Poyer, Schwenke (in that order). No Barett Jones?
  8. A rare time we agree. Well death was quick for them tonight
  9. Bleacher Report National Football Post CBS sports Emery must really be the smartest guy in the room. I don't get some of the complaints about speed for Bostic. He's faster/more athletic than Arthur Brown. He generally got a 2nd/3rd round grade. The late round stuff seems out of line with most everything I had read and he definitely caught my eye when I watched Florida. Yeah his measurables at the combine were very good, so athleticism isn't a question. I can't find a reason to dislike the pick.
  10. I like the Bostic pick as Brown had some injury and size concerns. I think the Bears go offense or CB next
  11. Oh.my.god. My brain melted listening to Hawk.
  12. Dont know if this was posted, but wow. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--marlins-owner-jeffrey-loria-personally-mandated-lineup-change-150755500.html
  13. It would seem that way but I don't think that's the case just based on Emery's comments. He had this guy targeted from the start. Which makes Emery all the more stupid Doesn't really matter what the reality was behind closed doors -- I'd expect any GM to come out and say "he was our guy from the beginning." I'm not taking his statement as-is. It's PR. I'm not so sure. He's been pretty open and forthright during his time as GM, almost to the point of never shutting up about the team's thought process. I'm not sure he's much of a spin guy. He's also more of a "pick from the hat" kinda guy
  14. I doubt he'll be the starter in year 1. Emery said he can come in and contribute right away. I don't see any way for an OL to contribute right away if he isn't on the OL. And he was drafted in the first round, so he better freaking start somewhere. Maybe Emery & crew know what they're doing, I don't know. I still think it's a terrible value pick, and it sure looks to me like they got desperate when the run on OL took place earlier in the round. It would seem that way but I don't think that's the case just based on Emery's comments. He had this guy targeted from the start. Which makes Emery all the more stupid Sleeping on this pick, we gotta see how Long develops. It's not wise to just draft on athletic ability. Especially on players that are reported to have character concerns. Self entitled spoiled rich kid was out there on him
  15. Peppers, Melton, Floyd, Shea/Wootten. One can only dream
  16. I implied that the roster collectively was not very good. Not sure where you're getting the trades part of it. I'm thinking more along the lines if winning games and competing for a Pennant which we can surely agree is far away from now. Sveum has a very tough job in that respect.
  17. So you're saying the game threads might be tolerable? I was talking about the draft numbnuts. Reading comprehension fail :(
  18. Man this draft really killed my excitement. I won't be watching live next year.
