He worked it to a 3-2 count, by trying to hit those corners, instead of maybe throwing him a fastball when its 2-2, and getting him to bite. I don't know, a guy like sheets gets his K's, but he never walks people. I think he might have a better approach then Z. zambrano isn't ben sheets. Thats fairly obvious, but don't you think that all the successful pitchers in history have similar mental concepts of getting hitters out? I'm a huge fan of Z, but there's a reason why he hasen't approached an elite Cy Young status type of pitcher. I think one of the reasons, is his mental approach to the game.
