Thanks for the reminder. Time to do some scouting for next week. I'm nervous about next week. That game is the key to the entire season. With New Mexico and Colorado both losing to D1-AA teams, a 5-0 start is entirely possible. Hopefully there's a huge crowd next week and the Tigers take it to Ole Miss. This running back and the qb make me nervous, though.

I gotta think that they scheduled the kU game so early cause they didn't want to give fans a longer time to tailgate (i.e. get wasted). Not that 11 doesn't give you enough time to get plenty of beers in you. They did it so they could be on National TV. Yeah, that might have been another reason. But it's not like 11AM games are the only ones that are televised. kU wasn't originally supposed to be Thanksgiving weekend though. They moved it there for the TV, so they're going to accomodate ABC with the time too. EDIT: Link Same thing next year too, although obviously the time isn't set. Also, they probably wanted to protect as many Mizzou students as possible from witnessing a fourth straight border loss and the jayhawk fans carrying off the goalposts. The kU students will tear down the goalposts at Mizzou? Anyways, the streak ends this year! I think we did it two years ago at Mizzou. Bold move by the Jayhawks. :wink:

Don't bother going to Manhattan for a K-State game either. I did that a couple years ago, and man that place sucks. The stadium is pretty lame, you can't drink in the parking lot, and the town in general pretty much blows. You just reaffirmed what I always thought about Manhattan, Kansas.

Well I guess I can be thankful that Mizzou plays at kU during Thanksgiving weekend my senior year, saves me a trip to Lawrence.

Go to Tigerboard and check out the video about that game. It got me so psyched for the season. We better get Oklahoma at night this year. That is surreal. Was that a Fake FG or a botched snap on the late TD? I think it'd be a PR travesty if they didn't schedule OU for a night game. They already screwed up by schedule Kansas at 11 am, the Saturday during Thanksgiving break. That was a fake field goal. Unbelievable that it worked like that. I wish I coulda been at that game so bad, but it was during senior year. On a side note, that was probably one of the most fun nights of my life, as that happened, the Cubs beat the Marlins in game 4 of the NLCS, and it was my schools homecoming dance.

SEC games are the best to watch, though I love most all the college football games. If the SEC and Big Ten didnt play at the same time id watch more SEC games. I cant stand to watch the pac 10 on saturday night. The SEC saturday night games are usually pretty damn good so ill catch a couple of those games. Its about time the Big Ten adopted some saturday night football this year. I am looking forward to seeing what the Big House looks like after the renovation. Its about time they updated it. There's nothing like a primetime SEC matchup on a Saturday night, Florida/Tennessee, LSU/Auburn, etc. Nothing better. :D Lets not forget SC/GA next Saturday. Back to back national TV appearances to open the season sounds good to me. Can't disagree with that. Almost any game in the SEC is better than watching the Pac 10, Big East, or even the Big 12, for that matter.

Gah, as usual a college football thread turns into a huge Notre Dame thread. Anyways, I cannot wait for the first SEC games of the year. I love watching SEC games anytime.

Let's just hope the Bears have a strong showing in their preseason finale and then put a pounding on the Packers like the Bengals did tonight.

The offense better get itself going or the Bears could be in for a long year. I think all us Bears fans need a good year from the Bears. With the way the Cubs played this year, I really hope that the Bears can make me happy about sports again. And I really don't feel like waiting for the Bulls to start.
