  1. Shouldn't Alden be blamed more than Pinkel? I'm no big fan Pinkel, and I really disliked Snyder a lot, but I really, really dislike the Athletic Director Mike Alden. The crap he has pulled, from pulling tailgating zones, to his inept handling of the Snyder fiasco last year has made lots of Tiger faithful upset. As far as Gameday goes, it's really nothing more than wishful thinking. Obviously Missouri would need to be undefeated or at one loss, and I'm not sure if that is going to happen, but I would hope if they were and OU was at one maybe two losses, the guys who decide would at least mention Columbia as a possibility. And I for one do not think Gameday will be making its way to Columbia. I'm just really, really, really hoping that Oklahoma is at least a 6 oclock start.
  2. Haha, there goes the big lead. Nicely done. Oh well, I want the Phillies to win the wildcard anyways.
  3. As a Cubs fan I would hate for that to happen. But as a human being, I think he would be making the obviously right choice. Life before baseball always.
  4. On the Mizzou end, the Colorado game next week will be on FSN in many regions, which is good news($$ and exposure). Unfortunately it means another 11:30 start for those attending. Also, the Mizzou website lists the following two games(@ Tech, @ aTm) as TBA, but ESPN has them as 7 PM and 2PM EST starts respectively. Could be good news for Cubbies75's hope that the Tech game is national. I saw the start of the Colorado game. I'm not too happy with it. My parents are coming down for that game, and my dad was hoping for a later start time. This is the third time they've come down for a game and the third time it'll be a start time before noon.
  5. OU isn't bad though. They handled NIU and they've got Solich(has he ever lost to Mizzou?). On the other hand we've got home field and they couldn't move the ball at all against Rutgers. I expect a smaller margin than Ole Miss, but not as close a game as UNM. We score 27-31, they get 6 or 7. I don't know about Ohio. They beat NIU pretty easily, but they looked like crap in their first game, and yesterday. Judging by you guys on here, it seems like Mizzou has a good QB, something NIU currently lacks (unless we ever start Dan Nicholson). You guys should be able to handle the Cats, but definitely don't underestimate them. I did and I saw what happened to the Huskies. Yeah, I'm a little nervous about the game. We should win by a couple touchdowns at least, by I'm never going to underestimate the potential for a Mizzou dud game. Anyways, hopefully the Tigers play better than they did against UNM. If they do, it should be an easy victory. And maybe the fans will actually show up for this game.
  6. That interview with Lee was tough to watch. My prayers go out to Derrek Lee's daughter. Definitely puts things into perspective for this crappy Cubs season.
  7. Stupid Eagles. If they had just won the game, Grossman would have won the award. Oh well.
  8. Vote for Rex as the NBC player of the week at NBCsports.com
  9. Good win for the Bears. Way to stick it to the Lions. I was kinda hoping the Bears would get 40, but oh well. Next week should be interesting. GO BEARS!
  10. I'll say Bears 20 Lions 10. Go Bears!
  11. Oh definitely, once KSU starts playing real teams they're gonna get smoked. I'm not going to think of Mizzou as a favorite until they make it through the CU game though. I will say, it helps that Nebraska and Mizzou are the only teams that have looked strong so far. How long has it been since Mizzou has beaten KSU? Oh, btw, our defense and special teams are back to being good this year. If our offense makes some strides, you'll be eating your words. Should be interesting to see how KSU does against Louisville. They'll be without their two star players, but it didn't seem to matter against Miami. That will be the biggest gage as to how "good" the Wildcats really are.
  12. Florida Gators win in Knoxville. What a game.
  13. AHHHHHHhhhhhh this is infuriating.
  14. They better pick it up in the second half. I have a bad feeling about this right now.
  15. I have nothing against those guys, but for the amount of love and hype ND gets, it's nice to see this. Unfortunately ESPN will cover this loss as if the president just died.
  16. Iowa State is dominating Iowa right now.
  17. So does Iowa so far.
  18. I would think that in the offseason that the offseason line would be the number one priority. But that's a long ways off. Let's just hope the line can play near what they did last year. The Bears should be fine if they do.
  19. Schlereth is now, for the second week in a row, picking the Bears as his upset special. Ahahaha this makes me laugh. I hope they destroy the Lions. I wonder if ESPN would ever fire anyone for be wrong week after week. On second thought, no, no they wouldnt.
  20. Thank God we get the game, more info at the KMIZ website: http://www.kmiz.com/index2.htm It'll also be broadcasted in St. Louis and Kansas City. Great job by CSTV, ABC, FOX, and everyone else getting this game on TV here. This is excellent news. I think the posters at Tigerboard are directly responsible for getting this game on television here. By the way, I had a dream last night that Mizzou won 49-21. Hopefully it comes true, because I'm kinda nervous. Hopefully the offense shoves it down big mouth Rocky's throat (he's the UNM coach who's saying the UM offense is fluky and fake).
  21. Not coincidentally, he's also an idiot.
  22. Roy Williams disagrees. He guaranteed a Lions' victory. I love how he backed off soon after. Some of those quotes in that article make me think he's mentally [expletive]. “When we play the way we’re supposed to play, like our defense played the way they did Sunday … I don’t think there’s no team in this league that can beat us.” What the hell's he smoking?
  23. I just got major goosebumps seeing all those US flags being waved when the Redskins entered.
  24. That's just it. I get more excited than I otherwise might because of their technique. I'm glad that they seem to know what they are talking about and keep itabout football but they really make it fun to listen. Jeff is able to paint the excitement and power and energy of the game with his voice even more than his words. It's kinetic not intellectual. Anyway, I like them. I love them too. They are wonderful to listen to when you are a raging homer like I am. I usually mute the TV and listen to the radio team. Me too. I love listening to them as well. I wish I could get them down here in Columbia.
