    Gee, if only florida and ole miss played each other this year, that would have been interesting to see what would have happened. oh well! brandon spikes is a complete moron. i also remember him calling georgia classless or something after their whole team ran on the field to celebrate the touchdown in 2007, and then the next year he goes and dry humps moreno after tackling him. can't have it both ways, douchebag. Turnabout is fair play? Anyway, I just laugh when people bring up "class" issues in sports. It's football, not the Westminster Dog Show. Whining about class is right up there with "NO ONE RESPECTS US!" and "IT HURTS THE INTEGRITY OF THE GAME!" Totally meaningless platitudes.

    Is Seto the next DC at USC? Probably. It's not exactly a secret that Carroll runs the show on defense and delegates a lot more on offense so a "name" hire for DC is extremely unlikely.

    USC defensive coordinator Nick Holt has been hired as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach under Sarkisian at Washington. Theoretically it's a lateral move to a program in terrible shape but being DC at USC isn't the same as it is at some other schools when Carroll is running the ship. That's a great hire for UW, though, and they should be able to compete better in California for players.

    Oh my god. Oregon State just snapped a 22 game conference losing streak against USC. OSU owns the Trojans :[ Also, I hate Daniel Hackett. GOD DAMNIT.

    Oregon's crap now though. Brobama's team is giving SC more trouble than the Ducks did! At least DeRozan has been showing some signs recently.

    Is USSoccer joking about Rex Grossman? He is not going to start over Chad Pennington. I'm going to play in the NFL before Rex Grossman takes over the starting job for a team one offseason removed from a division championship and 11 win season.

    I'm starting to think Pitt is better than Carolina. I think they'd match up very well in theory.

    Maybe he meant the whole Tampa defense? Sapp and Brooks are locks. I think Lynch will probably get in and maybe even Ronde Barber as well. I doubt Rice gets in as well.

    It's not like LT had a bad year (just a down year by his standards). They probably will platoon him with Sproles. The offensive line play for San Diego late in the season has been night and day compared to how they were playing earlier in the year.

    It's also pretty funny to see Meph desperately spin Utah's victory because someone out there might use it to impugn Saint Timmy's accomplishments this season.

    Utah's offense is going to have to do something. They've been shutdown since those first three drives.

    lol, Snead throws a pick six while the sideline reporter is trying to relay the story from The Blind Side. that was an awkward silence as he was running that back.

    Actually, don't be surprised if both guys go in the first round of the 2010 draft. The last half of the season Sneads been a lot better QB than Sanchez has. He's probably been better than anyone in the country, though not as productive as Timmy Boy and Bradford. Then again, I don't think you've seen him play. Ever. Ok, but he's just not a better player. Less heralded coming out of high school, less productive in college, and rates lower in scouting circles. And I would be surprised if he went in the first round. Care to wager on it?

    There isn't a coach in the universe who would take Jevan Snead over Mark Sanchez.

    It is vital we keep a playoff out of college football. It would be a national tragedy if sanctimonious internet posters were unable to play mathematician and had nothing to do besides guild raids on World of Warcraft.

    The only one that doesn't is a +1 playoff. Every other one does, and even the +1 system will crown the top 2 teams less often than the current setup. This isn't up for debate. In other words, it is up for debate.

    No they wouldn't. The AP poll is already in love with Florida and Oklahoma and touting this national title game as one of the best matchups in history. They are? On the hype meter I don't think this one is even approaching USC/Texas, USC/OU, Miami/OSU.

    I'll go ahead and beat that poor, dead horse: We need a playoff to correct this stuff. A playoff will crown the one of the best two teams national champion less than the current system. So? Then we're replacing one system that usually crowns one of the top three teams in the country as national champion with a system that usually crowns one of the worst 117 teams in the country as national champion. I could handle that. And I don't think every playoff structure necessarily creates the scenario you're talking about.

    A blowout win would have a pretty huge psychological affect on the voters. They'd get a lot of first place votes in the AP. And it's not like the AP would be gun shy about sticking it to the BCS.
