You see, when I responded to your accusation that I don't follow the game, I came back with a satiric characterization of myself as some effete California liberal who finds football beneath him. I would admit that a lot of those "fans" exist at USC (and California in general...) but I'm not one of them. But to make the blindingly obvious even more apparent I'll just say I'm not some milquetoast fair weather fan. I've followed, played, and discussed football religiously my entire life, perhaps to a fault, and certainly do more than open the sports page (who reads newspapers in print anymore?). Apparently you think that posting on a Chicago Cubs message board about an unrelated sport doesn't seem to contradict your characterization. Edit: As for Voice of Reason--well I don't know who he is. Apparently he is an alum/fan. Good for him.

Is Seto the next DC at USC? Probably. It's not exactly a secret that Carroll runs the show on defense and delegates a lot more on offense so a "name" hire for DC is extremely unlikely.

USC defensive coordinator Nick Holt has been hired as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach under Sarkisian at Washington. Theoretically it's a lateral move to a program in terrible shape but being DC at USC isn't the same as it is at some other schools when Carroll is running the ship. That's a great hire for UW, though, and they should be able to compete better in California for players.

It's not like LT had a bad year (just a down year by his standards). They probably will platoon him with Sproles. The offensive line play for San Diego late in the season has been night and day compared to how they were playing earlier in the year.
