  1. LSU is already in FG range.
  2. Plz no pick 6 and my LSU +3.5 is safe AND I get a UGA win.
  3. Another garbage excessive celebration call.
  4. AJ Green just owned LSU.
  5. UGA and UW take the lead.
  6. LSU is dominating Georgia but is only up 6-0 at halftime. 236 to 49 in total yards, UGA has 1 first down.
  7. Benn has a great chance of being drafted by the Raiders.
  8. Him and Bobby Bowden are in a contest to determine who can be a bigger figurehead.
  9. The Bulls won their 1st preseason game tonight. Rose had 17, Deng had 15, Gibson had 19 and 9. Apparently Tyrus left the game with a concussion--shouldn't be a big deal, it's not like it's possible for him to play dumber basketball. Weeeee.
  10. He'll never be the head of a major corporation.
  11. This was posted in the Potpourri thread. Still epic though. I can't think of a worse (better) way to lose.
  12. That's quite the sports coup for one country in a two year window. I think it'd be awesome if the US could get a World Cup in '18 or '22 and I'm a mild soccer fan at best.
  13. He has a few speedy little bastards himself.
  14. Lance Briggs was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week: http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=4520600 Lance Briggs owns.
  15. Yeah, I think the receivers have been pretty good. I'm going to sound like a broken record here but this offense won't be very explosive without that receiver that you can throw the ball to when he isn't really open. Bennet will catch balls in traffic because he's got great hands but he's not going to physically dominate a corner and maybe a safety. Plus I don't really trust Turner to design a passing game that will get our guys in space consistently.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxWFDgQyZgo
  17. Is Timmy boy supposed to be out for awhile?
  18. I wonder if when Miami is officially out of the playoff picture if they'll go full bore on the Wildcat with Pat White. I'd like to see what a legit passing threat could do back there if he got a lot of snaps.
  19. It's too bad USC only has 4 or 5 other 5-star RBs on which to rely... That's really been overblown, I think. Moody transferred, McKnight's been a disappointment, Gable can't see the field, Tyler is an uknown, and Bradford is a converted linebacker. The full back, Stanley Havili, gets a lot of touches. Out of all the heralded running backs no one has really established themselves. McKnight's come the closest but he's injury and fumble prone. I'd trade most of these guys for one Lendale White or Reggie Bush.
  20. I don't think notoriously is the right adverb to use when its describing a man's ability to heal quickly.
  21. Wonder how this will affect his draft status. Adversely. [/jack donaghy]
  22. Salmons shooting ability is real and he's a nice defender. But with Gordon gone I think we're going to see a lot of crossover-hesitation-crossover-hesitation-bad jumpshot this season. The guy loves to get his. On the other hand, we're going to need him to create his own shot and carry the team in stretches without BG.
  23. I'm still semi-optimistic. Because of the Bulls cap situation and the economy they'll be one of the few teams that can add a big piece at the deadline or sign one of the big fish in the offseason. After years and years of KG, Kobe, and Amare (among others) rumors they better get another star.
  24. So camp is in full swing with the first preseason game against the Pacers on Friday. Not too much news to report out of camp so far besides vague reports of so-and-so added muscle and an organizational focus on defense. Hollinger predicts we'll miss the playoffs which would be a huge bummer going into 2010 free agency: http://www.blogabull.com/2009/9/28/1059213/john-hollinger-optimistic-about For those haven't followed the differences between the 12 guys on the roster aganist Boston and the current one are that Gordon, Anthony Roberson, and Tim Thomas are gone while Jannero Pargo, James Johnson, and Taj Gibson have been added. Deng's looking healthy so it's incumbent on him not to suck because we'll need him if we're going to make any noise this year. Goals for the season: Continued development from Rose and Noah Improve the defensive rebounding Get Deng back to 2006-2007 levels or at least something approaching it Determine whether Tyrus will ever be anything more than a tease Keep the cornerstone pieces healthy going into the summer FA sweepstakes or trade market Either jettison VDN or see if he continues his modest improvement from the 2nd half of last season
  25. Looks like Johnson will be out for the rest of the year. Sounds like a pretty awful ordeal. It'll be on McKnight and Allen Bradford from here on out.
