  1. Someone from USC has to recognize that. They went years without a special teams coach and finally hired one this season. I've seen USC run that play too. Terrible oversight.
  2. ...Damnit. You've gotta see that coming.
  3. So I missed the 2nd half of the Texas/OU game...did OU keep gifting UT? Geez they should've been up 3 touchdowns in the first half.
  4. Wild Bunch III :] Love this defensive line.
  5. Adams had a pick 6 off of Orton last year. He had some pretty remarkable numbers at the combine. He ran a 4.64 in the 40 and vertical jumped 36". (He also got a 7 on the Wonderlic).
  6. #10 for USF is shaving points or something.
  7. Whole new ballgame now! Huge interception and TD by USF. BJ Daniels extends plays like no QB I've seen at the college level since Vick.
  8. This USF quarterback has amazing potential if he can dial it down a bit and stop trying to throw every ball through a brick wall.
  9. Yes, he's shown he can be a factor. But he's a tiny WR with limited abilities, and some people are overstating how good he's been. How does he have limited abilities? Fastest player on the team, shown good hands so far, has shown he's can make a play in the open field. He's not going to win jump balls or fight through double teams or ever be an elite receiver. He's a nice player, I really like him, I'm just saying some of the love went to the extreme really fast. Steve Smith of Carolina can't win jump balls or fight through double teams, but he is an elite receiver. I don't think Knox will be, but I am not going to rule that possibility out yet. He has only played in four games. Maybe Steve Smith of the Giants. Steve Smith of the Panthers, when he was really great, was awesome at catching the ball in traffic, especially for a shorter guy.
  10. That's an interesting question. And there are actually a few. Jon Kitna, Cowboys Kevin Kolb/Michael Vick, Eagles Matt Leinart, Cardinals Jeff Garcia (was with Raiders to start year) Not many, but those are a few varying degrees of starter quality QBs currently serving as backups. Seneca Wallace also has a career 60% completion percentage and a 25:14 TD:INT ratio. I think he'd make an ok starter, but he'd have to have good weapons and a solid running game. You'd only take those guys after at least 20-25 other guys disappeared off the face of the Earth.
  11. I know nothing about soccer so maybe one of you guys can shed some light... Is there anyway Conor Casey is at an appropriate level of conditioning/weight for world class soccer?
  12. Has Toeaina even seen the field?
  13. I'm nervous about giving up more picks for a one year flier. Does getting TO significantly improve your chances of a deep playoff run? I don't think it does. The beauty of getting Cutler was that we can build for the long term and we're going to need picks and infusions of young talent.
  14. I'm actually kind of surprised that you guys felt confident in winning Game 7 after Kerry's home run. I still felt like a loss was preordained.
  15. Hmm, I hadn't considered that Cincy might make that big a move in the human polls. I suppose that's possible. I'm guessing the difference in computer rankings that Cincy and UT would get right now is as big as it's going to be at any point in the season and would only shrink from here on out.
  16. The human polls make up two thirds of the BCS though. There's no way an undefeated Cincy finishes ahead of an undefeated Texas in the BCS. As for VT, the BCS guru for ESPN actually has VT ahead of Texas in his projected BCS rankings but he says there's no way VT will stay ahead of UT if the Horns continue to win.
  17. YEAH HOOK EM WOO
  18. I don't doubt that Snead is more upset than anyone about the way he and his team have played. I'd be pretty mad if I lost millions and millions of dollars too.
  19. Did they ever break their losing streak in the green uniforms? I just remember it being pretty funny that they'd bust out the green uniforms for a big game...and then always lose.
  20. Michael Floyd could be back by November: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4556056 Two weeks too late but that'd be a big boost for ND.
  21. "Rose also has good defensive instincts on the perimeter" lol
  22. There wasn't enough contact to warrant a flag of that magnitude. I honestly think Edwards would've caught it otherwise. He still had a good shot at it. At full speed it definitely looked like PI.
  23. I thought the pass interference call was a good call. He arm barred Edwards. People should realize that things look a lot more innocuous when the only replay they show is in super slo mo.
