  1. This is pretty demoralizing. I don't think they'll win a game now. The Bulls couldn't have played better (aside from shooting it which they suck at) and Cleveland just has had an unconscious shooting night.
  2. Jamario Moon couldn't make outside shots until the last two games.
  3. Bleh, what can you do when an atrocious shooter like Jamario Moon suddenly can't miss 3s? I think he's like 4 out of 5 this series so far. ONLY MY TEAMS
  4. 8 offensive rebounds and 2 turnovers is keeping the Bulls in it. Did you guys see Lebron dunk James Johnson through the hoop? Vicious.
  5. The rebounding is there tonight. If we can keep that up and shoot a bit better they could sneak out with a win. Cleveland is making jumpers and the Bulls aren't.
  6. UI is only so high on those engineering rankings because they're paying off US News and World Report staffers. The rest of the country has to worry about running a clean engineering department.
  7. Not really. He shoots an OK percentage, doesn't get to the free throw line at a particularly high rate, is a below average rebounder, and doesn't block shots. A nice piece, but just a solid #2 or #3 on a good team. It's much easier to find Lamarcus Aldridge and a good (not great) young guard than one great player you can build a contender around. Rose needs to learn how to shoot and not be a one-dimensional scorer before I put him in that category. Rose is a great driver but that is it for his scoring abilities. He can average 20 points a game, maybe more, with that but will never become a top player if he can't shoot better than 25% from 3-pt on less than one attempt per game. He's atrocious at shooting from out. He may be the worst 3-pt shooting PG in the league which will always limit his game and stop him from becoming truly great player. Most great point guards are not great 3 point shooters. Steve Nash is a rarity in that regard. And Rose is a very good shooter from 15-20. In fact he's one of the best midrange shooters in the game. Rajon Rondo is an example of a guy with a broken jumper. Rose isn't in that category--not even close. A 3 point dimension would open up the rest of his floor game, no doubt but he doesn't need to become a 40% guy. Anything close to 35% on decent volume would be gravy. If you think Rose only gets his points on drives you haven't seen him play much.

  9. I'm enjoying Joakim Noah trolling the NBA: http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2010/04/chicagos_joakim_noah_spends_a.html Shots at the city of Cleveland and KG. Now play better in game 2 plz.
  10. Not me. If we had LMA, then I doubt the Bulls land Derrick Rose. And I take Rose over LMA every day. That's pretty dumb. Sure I would rather have Rose than LMA but Rose wasn't part of the deal. You traded LMA, who was picked No. 2, for Tyrus Thomas, who was picked No. 4, and some foreign guy who never made to my knowledge. That was the trade. If you have LMA you would be a lot better and while you likely wouldn't have Rose you would have some other draft pick in his place in addition to LMA. That could be Beasley, Love, Mayo, Westbrook, Lopez, Gordon or some other player that is pretty good. I would take LMA + one of the guys mentioned over what you ended with which is Rose and a couple years of Tyrus sucking. If your 2nd best player is Lamarcus Aldridge you're not contending for a championship. He's a nice piece but pretty replaceable. Jump shooting power forwards who don't rebound or block shots are nothing special. I'd rather have Rose and nothing than Aldridge and a guy that isn't nearly is as good as Rose.
  11. I don't like any of the safeties at this spot so I'll go Corey Wootton.
  12. Wow, this game was unwatchable. Was OKC even running sets?
  13. Again, it goes back to the talent though. Other than Arkansas, MS has the smallest population of any SEC state yet has three Division I schools in it and has two powerhouses right across the border. LSU can completely monopolize their instate talent and with a school like Florida it doesn't matter that there are other big schools in the state because there are 18.6 million people there. MS only has a population of 2.9 mil. Also, schools in Alabama can afford to have two D-I schools competing because their population is double that of Ark or MS. Ole Miss did win 2 or 3 NC's back in the 50's and 60's, but of course that was a very, very different time. Yes, all of which could be ameliorated by the right hire. LSU had its resources but the biggest change, by far, was going from Dinardo to Saban. When Miles is done laying waste to the program a smart coach in the SEC West will be right there to change the pecking order. Edit: And I'm not saying Ole Miss can be become a juggernaught like Saban is building at Bama, I'm just saying a good coach could put them in the position to fight for NCs every now and then if things break the right way. I'm thinking more like Tuberville at Auburn and less Urban Meyer at Florida.
  14. Del Negro should've been whining about the refs for months now. Noah spoke up yesterday, justifiably, but every crowd already hates him and they'll be able to sway the refs even more. It's the coach that needs to be out there in the media. Pax should say something too. And of course Reinsdorf would never say anything either.
  15. There's nothing inherent at Ole Miss that would prevent the right coach from competing for an NC every now and then. It's not like LSU was a cadillac program before Saban got there (at least for a long time). Same with Florida and Spurrier.
  16. There's no spacing out there. The lane is clogged to [expletive]. Deng did a fine job on Lebron got my god he was brutal offensively.
  17. If there's any hope for a competitive series I think we're going to need to keep O'Neal off Noah and try to keep the game ugly. Gibson would be a better fit off the bench and let Miller foul/annoy Shaq.
  18. I wish Rose could get a call once.
  19. Too bad we didn't come out like this defensively to start the game.
  20. Yep, a jump shooting team that can't shoot...and definitely can't shoot 3s. I really hope we can S&T Deng away for a piece this summer.
  21. Well Cleveland sure snuffed the life out of this series pretty quickly. I'm pretty surprised at how much better their effort is. Lack of execution and talent I can see but a Cleveland team that hasn't had anything to play for in a month getting every loose ball and out hustling everywhere on the floor is a little disappointing. The PnR D has been astonishingly bad.
  22. Tracy looking for his first contact of the season?
  23. If by legendary actor you mean radical Maoist insurgent then yes.
  24. You have to be more balanced in college mainly because of the three point line being closer. There just isn't as much room for a one on one creator to dominate.
