  1. If I didn't know better I think Lebron and his team without s it, just eliminated the Knicks. And if the Knicks can't sell the idea of New York on Lebron then they truly are no better then the Warriors or Pacers or even Minnesta. Yeah that's what I'm thinking.
  2. PTI and Sportscenter have had like 3 different segments pimping LBJ and others to the Bulls in the last hour. There's also some free agency special on at the top of the hour where I'm sure all of that will be repeated.
  3. That's not entirely inaccurate. You didn't HEAR much about him womanizing. You hear a lot more about it now than when he was playing.
  4. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5329335 No elaborate Lebron free agency tour in the offing.
  5. Correct me if I'm off here, but doesn't Bosh provide an outside game that could help free driving lanes for both Rose and LeBron? Given that Noah's man will sag off him, I think it's important to have a 4 that can shoot. I just looked up some of the data and Boozer, Lee, Amare, and Bosh can all spot up. In fact Boozer shoots a slightly higher percentage than the others on perimeter shots while Amare is the best finisher at the rim. Bosh basically can do all those things well and you've got to like his potential length alongside Noah. I think he has more defensive potential than the others (Boozer/Lee are crap and Amare just doesn't care)...Bosh has never played on a good defensive team, really, but he's never had a dedicated big who will help him guard the rim like Noah. But any good offensive power forward is going to be a good shooter in spot up and pick and roll situations.
  6. My understanding is that the Gortat/Pietrus deal doesn't save any money for us. It'd clear up a potential log jam at SF if Lebron signs here though. I was talking about clearing the decks totally to be able to sign Bosh as opposed to keeping some pieces and getting a Lee/Boozer type on a smaller deal (to go with another max/near-max FA).
  7. I'd almost rather sign David Lee or Boozer (if you can save some real money), keep Johnson and Gibson as bench pieces, keep Deng as a sixth man, and maybe retain a pick or two to fill out the roster than S&T for Bosh.
  8. Johnson's cap number is only $1.7 million. After cap holds you're still short, no? WF22 get in here 8-)
  9. Yeah, but it wouldn't be very hard to work out a sign and trade to make up the difference. For instance, Toronto wants a sign and trade for Bosh, it wouldn't be difficult to offer preferably James Johnson but if not Taj Gibson and a 1st round pick as their compensation for helping us sign Bosh at full max value. Prior to yesterday's trade, we'd have had to beg them or a 3rd team to take Deng or Hinrich, which wouldn't make any sense for Toronto. Also, between now and July 8th, we could probably find a taker for James Johnson. I still think we're short dollars wise in that scenario. Any first round pick we trade isn't going to help our cap number and Gibson/Johnson don't make enough. I don't think even Gibson AND Johnson make enough.
  10. I don't think so either. It's just that the trade isn't going down immediately and the idea of trading Hinrich and dumping his entire salary sounds too good to be true so I'm going to go in sulley mode on this one.
  11. The PG class outside of Wall stinks. The rest of the best are combo guards like Bradley and Bledsoe. Grievies Vasquez is probably the best on the board.
  12. But it's Tom Cruise at his Jerry Maguire best!!
  13. And of course he already knows what it's all about to be paid to play basketball. He and OJ will be thick as thieves.
  14. He can jump he's just not going to blow by anyone.
  15. I don't think he does. He'd be a very nice 3rd guard making about half what he makes and if he would work on his shooting.
  16. Yeah not sure why. Always liked him. And if the Spurs drafted him I'm sure he'll be productive.
  17. Nice pick. ESPN is so terrible at the NBA draft. Right as Jay Bilas is saying shooting his is strength and he's a catch and shoot guy, they flash their graphic: Must improve shooting. Barry hasn't said a single useful thing all night and we all know that Scott should have been sent somewhere far away long ago. Bradley's one of those weird Bruce Bowen types who can shoot threes and then f's up at the FT line.
  18. Also I'm a bit concerned that we got a foreigner that we can stash in Europe for a few years (and thus, not pay him) means the Hinrich deal will fall through...on the other hand he's definitely not a need pick for us so maybe things are still going down.
  19. I remember something like that. It'd be such a kick in the balls after all these years and we still couldn't trade Kirk. The thing is is that it's a horrible deal for the Wizards and maybe they'll come to their senses and back out.
  20. Grizz need a point guard though.
  21. He's more of a shooting guard than a small forward. I don't see him putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim much but there's always room for good spot up shooters in the NBA who have size and can guard. Henry will do that. I think he can be a 40%+ 3 point shooter in the NBA.
  22. First: WE don't know what the deal, but GarPax do (I know duh right), and I pretty sure the deal is as firm as it can be right now. If the Bulls did not want this deal would not have made this deal. Second: The Bulls have been shopping Hinrich around the league for nearly 2 year, so I you can guess that this deal is prolly the best deal they could get, and they took it. I really don't see a better deal coming around for Hinrich. Well at this point, this WAS the best deal the Bulls could get for Hinrich because their main intention in trading him was to rid themselves of his salary. And with this trade, they got rid of 100% of his salary. Great deal for the Bulls. If it precludes you from getting rid of Deng's salary then it's a net negative. But that Clippers rumor sounds like a big joke so I'm still happy with it.
  23. Whoa Indiana took a black guy!
  24. Well we don't have the 17th pick any more unless the Hinrich deal falls apart.
  25. He means Wade and 2 other guys. They're short of having enough room barring a S&T though.
