  1. And of course he already knows what it's all about to be paid to play basketball. He and OJ will be thick as thieves.
  2. He can jump he's just not going to blow by anyone.
  3. I don't think he does. He'd be a very nice 3rd guard making about half what he makes and if he would work on his shooting.
  4. Yeah not sure why. Always liked him. And if the Spurs drafted him I'm sure he'll be productive.
  5. Nice pick. ESPN is so terrible at the NBA draft. Right as Jay Bilas is saying shooting his is strength and he's a catch and shoot guy, they flash their graphic: Must improve shooting. Barry hasn't said a single useful thing all night and we all know that Scott should have been sent somewhere far away long ago. Bradley's one of those weird Bruce Bowen types who can shoot threes and then f's up at the FT line.
  6. Also I'm a bit concerned that we got a foreigner that we can stash in Europe for a few years (and thus, not pay him) means the Hinrich deal will fall through...on the other hand he's definitely not a need pick for us so maybe things are still going down.
  7. I remember something like that. It'd be such a kick in the balls after all these years and we still couldn't trade Kirk. The thing is is that it's a horrible deal for the Wizards and maybe they'll come to their senses and back out.
  8. Grizz need a point guard though.
  9. He's more of a shooting guard than a small forward. I don't see him putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim much but there's always room for good spot up shooters in the NBA who have size and can guard. Henry will do that. I think he can be a 40%+ 3 point shooter in the NBA.
  10. First: WE don't know what the deal, but GarPax do (I know duh right), and I pretty sure the deal is as firm as it can be right now. If the Bulls did not want this deal would not have made this deal. Second: The Bulls have been shopping Hinrich around the league for nearly 2 year, so I you can guess that this deal is prolly the best deal they could get, and they took it. I really don't see a better deal coming around for Hinrich. Well at this point, this WAS the best deal the Bulls could get for Hinrich because their main intention in trading him was to rid themselves of his salary. And with this trade, they got rid of 100% of his salary. Great deal for the Bulls. If it precludes you from getting rid of Deng's salary then it's a net negative. But that Clippers rumor sounds like a big joke so I'm still happy with it.
  11. Whoa Indiana took a black guy!
  12. Well we don't have the 17th pick any more unless the Hinrich deal falls apart.
  13. He means Wade and 2 other guys. They're short of having enough room barring a S&T though.
  14. I think you got your FA wish list mixed up with your players inferior to Rajon Rondo list.
  15. This is a race between Miami and Chicago to gut their rosters if Beasley and Deng are moved. It's definitely an all-in move.
  16. If the free agents are smart (a lot of these guys probably won't be), then we won't be one of those teams that are upset. Our situation is easily the best one available out of the teams with space to sign a big name FA or two. I assume you mean Rose/Noah there. What does the future look like with those two guys' next contracts if they do sign two max guys today? Does Rose become a max guy, can they sign him? Do they give Noah big money? It's all a matter of Reinsdorf being willing to pay the luxury tax.
  17. Getting rid of Kirk is enough to sign max 2 FAs?
  18. Apparently the Bulls and Pacers have talked about a Hinrich and 17 for the 10th and a player. The rumor I read said TJ Ford would be the guy the Pacers would send in return. That doesn't free up any money though. Ford is due 8.5 million next year.
  19. The laws of nature won't allow Kirk Hinrich to be traded from the Bulls.
  20. Nice free kicks by Japan. Wow.
  21. Now that I read further I guess that could be done because LAC is far enough under the cap to absorb Deng's contract.
  22. Wouldn't a Deng trade involve taking back salary? You can't just give him up for a pick can you?
  23. Is Donovan at least in the discussion of being maybe one of the best 50 or so players in the world at this point? Top 30 even?
  24. This live blog is hilarious. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/jun/23/wimbledon-2010-tennis-live
