  1. Oh my god those calls at the end of the KSU/Cuse and UT/UNC games were beyond awful.
  2. What a ball.
  3. Completely agree with the team vs. individual distinction. I doubt there will ever be a metric that'll capture as much about an individual player (outside of QB maybe) as even OPS does for a baseball player. But I'm in favor of it overall and I actually think the NFL is adopting it as a tool faster than MLB did.
  4. Army won a bowl game.
  5. Brandon Lloyd has like 3 of the top 10 greatest catches in league history. He's got talent, obviously. But all the numbers put up under Josh McDaniels are kinda suspect, IMO.
  6. You really wouldn't do that deal if you're the Lakers? I don't know why Denver would do it. Bynum's largely a tease at this point...Melo would be like Aaron Rodgers. Teams try, and fail, to get top 5 talents like him for years and years. They'd go from one elite wing player to another while still remaining contenders. They'd be dealing from a position of strength but they'd also be set for the next 5-7 years. If the Lakers got Melo I'd be really pissed off.
  7. Epic ending to the Kings/Grizz game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP2dvmEUvJ8&feature=player_embedded I can't stop laughing at how far out on the floor one of the Kings bench players goes while the ball is still in the air.
  8. I'm going to need a refresher course on the differences between a meathead, meatball, and chucker.
  9. Somehow I kept missing Oklahoma State all year and haven't seen much of them. Blackmon is amazing. His hands are like a vice.
  10. Uh...wow. That was some bootleg. lol, there wasn't a guy within 20 yards within seconds
  11. There are only so many backups they can use at once. And the more you put in there, the more you are exposing your remaining starters by forcing them to play with lesser players. You only get 45 actives, and WR, TE, RB, DL and DB all use some sort of rotation already. And most of those guys all play special teams as well. What do you do, take out Urlacher, Forte, Cutler, Briggs, Peppers, Tillman, Hester and Knox? I'd take Cutler and Forte out. Reduce snaps on Urlacher, Briggs, and Peppers if not take them out completely. Take Hester and Knox off of returns. Bennett is gimped right now so they probably have to play receiver. Edit: 98% of my concern would be alleviated if Cutler were taken out. Let him get reps in a crazy/loud environment to give him a taste of playoff football and then take him out. I'll trust Lovie to manage everyone else's snaps properly.
  12. Stafford can't even get on the field and Freeman is pretty good?
  13. I'd give the core starters a quarter or so if the Bears can't the 1 seed.
  14. He got hit in the pocket quite a bit last night. The Eagles weren't focused, IMO. It's like they had never seen a corner blitz. Plus I worry about Cutler not having much to play for. As glorious as it would be to knock GB out on their field that seems like more of a motivation for fans. The Pack will be in desperation mode from kickoff...and they have a good pass rush to begin with.
  15. I know we have an outside shot at the #1 seed but I'd hate to see Cutler go out there and get knocked senseless because he and the offense in general aren't 100% focused. Seemed like it happened to the Eagles last night who thought the Vikings would be a walk over and Vick got smashed a few times.
  16. The NFL has a well documented bias against chipmunk looking quarterbacks.
  17. Chase Daniel is in the NFL. Isn't he the Saints #2?
  18. What did the student section do?
  19. I don't think we'l make a move until Noah IS back personally. Or at the very least, not until right at the Feb 17th deadline, if he's not back by then. You're probably right.
  20. I don't see it either. I'm thinking if the Bulls trade Gibson for an SG they at least need a warm body big so Scal and Asik don't play big minutes until Noah gets back.
  21. Smith, Jackson, Mayo, C. Lee Someone in that group. Rip would be an upgrade but has a big cap number and I don't see how you get that deal done.
  22. I was scaring family members by screaming at the TV during the Bulls/Knicks game. No one left though =(
  23. go on
  24. I meant the royal we. ATL had an amazing defensive game plan against Brees and a lesser QB would've wilted.
  25. lol, fallen off? yah, if INT's is how you measure a good QB, and it isn't. He's first in completion %, second in TD's, third in passing yards. To be fair, passing yards isn't a really good way to measure how good a QB is either. To be fair, Brees is still really good and if you think he's bad you're dumb.
