I never said he is a bust or is going to be a bust. I just said that right now, he's a bad quarterback and he doesn't deserve all the ridiculous praise that is being heaped upon him. He could turn into Peyton Manning in five years but that wouldn't change the fact that his 2009 and 2010 seasons were two of the worst in the league each year. I don't read the NY papers but I don't really agree that the default position on Sanchez is that he's a recipient of "all the ridiculous praise." At least on the internet and message boards, where I keep up with football, it seems like most just incessantly talk about how he sucks, is verging on bust-status, etc. The guys that come in and kick ass right away that start as rookies are rare. Even Manning took a full year before he started tearing it up and he had a [expletive] load of college starts under his belt.
