  1. If the interest in Love is as strong as some rumors would make us believe(I'm skeptical, but it's possible), then they may not have that option. Love has little incentive to sign an extension before next year, and some interested parties could be relatively confident(or at the least, more confident than the Bulls would) in their ability to keep him in Free Agency. He has incentive if the receiving party won't pull the trigger on a deal without a commitment from him to sign an extension. And the Wolves might be of the same mind if they maximize the return package by having Love agree to an extension. It all depends on how badly he wants out of Minnesota and if he's content to play out the season or at least until the deadline. My point is that if the Bulls are offering X and require an extension but someone like GSW/Cleveland is offering X-Y but doesn't require an extension, then not only is there little reason for Love to sign, there's less reason for Minnesota to push Love to agree to an extension unless Y is some huge value. True. But I think the Bulls would be willing to roll the dice on getting Love without agreeing to an extension. It all comes back to Rose again, if he's good and healthy Love will almost certainly sign an extension. If he's not, they'll be ok with letting Love walk and going for a complete rebuild (it's not like McDermott and Mirotic are all that valuable without cornerstone pieces in place).
  2. Also, I have little doubt that Love would sign an extension if he did end up in Chicago assuming Rose is healthy and effective (if Rose isn't, it doesn't matter and the Bulls are better off by completely bottoming out anyway and letting Love walk). That team would be very good and he's not going to leave Chicago under those circumstances.

  5. Terrible. I'll talk myself into this team come October but this offseason sucked.

  7. would the Bulls really pull the trigger on some kind of Pau deal without a follow up move for a legit wing already in the works?
  8. I've heard he makes Thibs look warm and cuddly.
  9. Does anyone know what the deal Lebron is signing in Cleveland looks like? Is it max-term, max dollars? If it's a short term deal might be hard to convince Love to sign a full on extension.
  10. Chris Broussard has misspelled "confirms" in his two most recent tweets.
  11. Your face is odd
  12. Considering how much money Wade has left on the table, and the fact that it only takes one stupid team to get squirrely, I have to imagine he'll be looking to get paid.
  13. Going to be really bummed if we can't close Melo now.
  14. What is the non Wiggins package that Cleveland offers that trumps anyone else's?
  15. Is there enough money to add Pau, Stephenson, and Mirotic?
  16. I bet this is just a ploy by Chris Sheridan to get more eyeballs. No one will care if he's wrong and the winds do seem to be blowing towards Cleveland anyway.
  17. You're just setting yourself up for disappointment
  18. One of the great metropolises of civilization continues to suck ass at punching above its weight class.
  19. Wouldn't Pau have to take a pretty huge discount to play in NY?
  20. Surely Reinsdorf is smart enough to recognize a sunk cost.
  21. Noah just tweeted "always think big picture lil homie."
  22. Memo Ochoa has been playing for a 2nd division French side since 2011?
