For those whose PC's are choking up on the new Gameday (mine is kinda slow at times, and I don't mean the updates), the old one still works, and the link is here: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/y2006/gd.html?2007_03_31_seamlb_chnmlb_1 What an at-bat by Theriot!
Actually, someone has been creating them using a bookmarked link with updated date and team info. Hopefully, when the season starts, MLB will make it easier to find on its front page and or the front page of the individual team sites. The links are on the front page now, and also on the scoreboard page. They just don't become available until a few hours before gametime. It's up now, if you go to the scoreboard page. Lineups are there too - and The Riot is batting 2nd.
There's an actual link to the Gameday app for this game on MLB's site - it's the diamond icon right next to the teams and start time. No cheat link needed! Also, from looking at some of the other games today, they are counting every pitch now, not just the at-bats. Of course it's a TV game, so it's not that big a deal anyway... :D
FIELDING E: Soriano (3, fielding), Floyd 2 (3, throw, fielding), Theriot (4, fielding). What, that many? 10 Errors? It probably seemed like it, but I think those are the totals for the entire ST.
Guys, it's been said already in this thread, but Gameday's pitch counts are inaccurate, and have been for the entire Spring Training. They count every ball hit into play as a 1-pitch at-bat, every k as 0-3, and every walk 4-0. I'm sure it'll work normally when the season starts; remember, we're having to come up with these links ourselves - they're not actually posted anywhere on MLB.com's site. They're probably using ST as a testing perid for the new system, and don't want people thinking it's screwed up. We're not really supposed to be seeing Gameday at all right now. Just take it for the at-bat outcomes and nothing else for now.
...Wow!!! How'd you find that? a friend linked me to it earlier. That's cool...I had tried that y2007 thing when ST started (that's the difference - the old one is y2006) but I guess it was too early and they didn't have it running yet. It looks kinda like that one they used during the playoffs last year - does that mean they'll be using it year-round?
How many errors has Sori made in ST? I know Jacque had to make that incredible diving catch to save his buttduring a TV game, I know he misplayed one a day or two ago that wasn't caught....anyone else concerned about this?
http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/gameday/y2006/gd.html?2007_03_28_colmlb_chnmlb_1&brand=mlb Nothing up yet, though. And as far as I know, they still aren't counting balls and strikes.
