  1. Hannemann is a complete wild card. And thinking in advance, will be hell for us in making prospect lists. I see plenty of "age appropriate for level" type arguments coming with him.
  2. While it definitely is being proven wrong, I think the reason quite a few saw his hit tool as average, is because they saw lots of extra base pop and possibly a sustainable BABIP that was high. Most saw him as a max .260ish BA type, just with a nice walk rate that would have given him a solid OBP.
  3. In the complete grand scheme of things, if I'm betting, I'll say Baez is our longterm 3B, Bryant winds up in LF, and Candelario is dealt once he hits AA.
  4. Thats certainly an easier argument to make and one thats much harder to dispute. But thats not the argument Kyle is making.
  5. I hope so. Needless to say, they'll want to move him quickly. Get him as many innings as they can as quickly as they can.
  6. Why is that exactly? Both more advanced and more athletic. Candelario is barely hanging on at 3b as it is. Your wide range of knowledge on nearly every prospect in the system is both amazing and amusing. He's right. No. He's not.
  7. Why is that exactly? Both more advanced and more athletic. Candelario is barely hanging on at 3b as it is. Candelario has gotten very solid reviews at 3B this year. Extremely likely he'll be able to stick there now. While Bryant will certainly start his career there, not even McLeod would come out and say they expect him to be there for long.
  8. Evidently Frazier and Wilson are confirmed now too, as Mooney and Wittenmeyer both have articles up mentioning Bryant is the last of the top 10 round picks left to sign.
  9. DeJesus or Feldman alone nets us a better headliner than Starling.
  10. Penalver is more than a little interesting. He's probably got the best SS glove in our system, has a solid approach at the plate and started to show a bit of extra base pop during EXST this year. He received a 500k+ bonus a couple of years ago.
  11. I'm not a believer in that guy at all. His hits have all been educated guesses, after info had come out we were pursuing guys. At any rate, this one's a head scratcher, especially considering his dad insinuated he'd be happy with 700ish or so basically. I guess Bryant is signing well under though, to allow for Clifton and Alamo.
  12. Who is Telles? Did you mean Torres? Yeah, not sure what I was thinking. Still want to see us trade for more money. Get those 2 and Perez or Tseng-would be a phenomenal haul.
  13. The Twins are evidently talking quite a bit with the handler of Eloy Jimenez. I hope we still can find a way to land him and Telles.
  14. Depending on the severity of the injury, I think this increases the chances Schierholtz is dealt. If he is, then we can exercise DeJesus' option of 6.5. At any rate, I suspect one or the other will be dealt.
  15. Jackson is about 8th in line. it seems like Lake has gotten a bit lucky, in finding some holes early on. At any rate, I hope its one or the other(no, Brett doesn't deserve it). But either would at least be interesting.
  16. Yeah, if Bryce Harper or Mike Trout had some sort of catastrophic injury they couldn't come back from, they aren't busts, by any stretch. Prior was on his way to a ridiculously awesome career. Just as those two are.
  17. I'd give him and Almora for Buxton. Holy hyperbole. Kyle, you wouldn't actually do that, right? I absolutely would. If Buxton isn't the best prospect in baseball right now, he will be this time next year for sure. Anytime you can take a step up in quality for some quantity, you do it. Holy crap. Really? Baez and Almora are far, far from "quantity" type pieces. Half a season in A Ball of Buxton does THAT much for you? I'll just say there's no way in hell I'd even consider a deal like that. I'm not denying Buxton is excellent, probably the top prospect in the game. But, I don't see his value anywhere near the combined value of those two.
  18. I'd give him and Almora for Buxton. Holy hyperbole. Kyle, you wouldn't actually do that, right?
  19. Oh OK. In no way would I move Javy out of the IF to accomodate Bryant. Who actually has questions concerning his ability to stick at 3B. My guess is Bryant winds up as our longterm LF.
