    Seriously, I know he's improving and all behind the plate....But realistically, the chances he's ready next year to catch full time can't be good, right? It'll be extremely interesting to see what we do next year.

    I remember thinking the pick was OK and loving the strategy of spreading the money around on high upside pitching. In the end, it could wind up being a monster of a draft.

    If the higher ups aren't implicated in any way, it's a slap on the wrist to the org.(prison time for the dumbasses that did it) If Mozeliak or at least guys higher up the chain know about it, [expletive] the competitive balance pick. The punishment will likely be much worse than that, in my opinion.

    I'm anxiously awaiting Kruk to tell us that Schwarber is a 1B and has never caught in his life until this season. The Cubs moved him there over converting him into a pitcher since he's blocked long term everywhere else.

    It's not going to shock me if its Rizzo/KB/Schwarber at 2-3-4. He can mash, if they treat him as such, it won't surprise me at all.

    traded? Hmm. Possibly. Could we have taken him out because we've got a lead on a soon to be DFA'd type guy and beat everyone to the punch? I wouldn't put it past our Front Office(they're pros!) Could this be the beginning of a Hamels trade? Where we didn't quite get it complete yesterday, but to make sure we didn't mess it up, we took Contreras out of the game, so the deal won't go bad via injury?(lol run on sentence) We're supposed to be signing one of the top 16 year old C's in IFA this year.....This all tells me that Contreras is now excess and we're free to move him. The real question is whether it's as a stand alone piece or as part of a larger deal.....I'd love to see what we could get for him, Andreoli, and Frank Batista myself!

    I'd be OK with that. But it'd give us 3 long guys in the pen. Something's gotta give there at some point. Eventually, we'll be at 9 position players and 16 pitchers. I wanted to laugh, but thought better of it, with the way we're going.
