  1. Yeah, no to either of these I most definitely did not just come up with that Almora opinion on 70 PAs, but they do contain the same slap happy no walk, no pop offensive game he's shown throughout the minors that we can expect at the ML level. As opposed to the pop heavy .633 OPS Heyward has or Pompey's .708 in AAA being older and repeating? They're horsefeathering mashers.
  2. That's your Almora argument? 70 AB's? Almora is 17 months younger than Pompey. His ENTIRE AAA line is .312/.326/.434...... What is Pompey doing in his second go round in AAA? At close to a year and a half older? .281/.349/.359 I've got no real issue if Almora is or isn't an everyday player for us. horsefeathers, he's probably better than Heyward currently. But Pompey? If he can be had for scraps, fine. But that's about it. And yeah, it'd allow you to trade Almora. But only if Dex is kept.
  3. Joe is likely a seal racist. There weren't no horsefeathering seals at Zoo Day now, were there?
  4. Paulino gave up a leadoff homer.....Then was awesome. Final line 7IP 1H 1R 1ER 2W 7K
  5. Other than the usual suspects I didn't get this impression at all It was directed AT them.
  6. Good God, there was a lot of horsefeathering doom and gloom in this [expletive] for a team that's 28 over and 11.5 up. horsefeathers, we're even on a 7 game win streak.
  7. Wilson is 2-2, with a 2B and a HR.
  8. Cauliflower, Inigo Montoya, and a Cubs victory. TWISM.
  9. he'll probably get ambushed with a sock full of pennies They'll just put an end to his fish treats.
  10. Family business? New Jersey? He's in the Seal Mob.
  11. I really hoped Nathan would work out. Have to respect a guy opting for TJS at 40, instead of retirement.
  12. I love when Javy impresses himself
  13. Seals are playful, harmless, stupid creatures. Ours just turned heel on us.
  14. All the WTF's....
  15. He's waiting for Iowa to install a salt water hot tub.
  16. something something guy who got lost in jersey in a six foot snow drift his body was found in the hudson http://www.nj.com/hudson/index.ssf/2016/01/body_of_missing_hoboken_man_found_in_hudson_river.html But there's no fish in his mouth. I'm not sold its actually him.
  17. I hate bringing it up, but we're obviously skirting around it...... Have poachers got him?
  18. Bailey Clark is the pitcher with the most upside out of this past draft class, in my opinion. He was a 1st rounder heading into the season, but struggled with control big time. Big velo though. Likely a reliever profile, but has started off very interesting..... 2.2 4 2 1 0 5 line for him tonight.
  19. Hmm, wasn't aware he wasn't pitching every 5th day. I don't think he's 6'1 though. He's listed at that in some places. FG has him at 6'4 and PG had him at 6'6. Looking at a few pics of him with others, its not conclusive, but I'd bet he's definitely not 6'1.
  20. Even if they're at the same velo currently, its easy to give the nod there to Clifton, since he's doing it every 5 days, versus once a week for Hatch.
  21. Eh, I don't know how to account for the opt in. But it won't happen, so it doesn't matter anyway. There's a chance he's got a clause that keeps the Cubs from offering him the QO this time. Its not been mentioned, but I'm pretty sure there's been a few of those in contracts recently and it'd make since for Dex.
  22. Javier Assad went 3 3 0 0 0 6 for Arizona(may pitch the 9th I'm not sure.....He's another guy they got out of Mexico and has a 2.45 ERA, with 29 K's in 25.2 innings. So, they grabbed Albertos and Paredes out of Mexico. Which is great. But Assad and Carrera both came from there too. Hell of a scouting job in an area that doesn't get much pub.....If I'm not mistaken, BA didn't rank a single player from there that season. Badler even admitted to hearing about Albertos, but not digging far into him. On top of that, they strayed into Venezuela a good amount as well. Perlaza was ranked, but Henderson Perez wasn't. Neither was Jose Gutierrez. Perez has struggled, but he was EXTREMELY young and as a C, he's got a bunch on his plate. Gutierrez has certainly flashed some tools obviously. Bottom line is the more info we get on some of these youngsters, the more excited we'll get. But its awesome seeing us grab kids out of the lesser areas and them showing signs. McLeod can run the horsefeathers out of a scouting department.
  23. Wow, Westbrook getting ready to sign 3/85 to stay in OKC.
  24. Eh, I guess I'd say if he wanted a couple days off, I'd be OK with it. If he doesn't, no big deal.
