  1. I don't think we need to move either. There's plenty of AB's across the diamond for Javy to take. If he busts out offensively and forces himself into a true everyday role, then Zobrists versatility allows to take over what Javy does now-just more offense based obviously. I keep saying it, but Soler seems to be the guy we're most likely to move. Especially if we keep Dex. Because Almora is a true 4th OFer and can play all 3 spots extremely well. But we may keep Soler. Depends on exactly how far his trade value has fallen. I asked Longenhagen a chat or two ago and he thinks you'd still get a top 75-100ish type pitching prospect for him. Or Candelario, for that matter. So, finding that, or the equivalent value in pitching, seems like a decent idea to me. Especially if you worry that between his lack of defensive ability and his constant injuries, that this could easily still be his high water mark, for trade value. At any rate, I don't see Javy or Zobrist going anywhere. They both have roles, even if they just swap them. And as big of a Javy fan as I am, I don't think that'll need to happen next year honestly.
  2. He's a true work in progress. He's nowhere near a finished product. Quite a few scouting reports said it'd take him longer to max out than others, based on the adjustments he'd have to make and if he could make them. My true guess is he throws up a few Soriano type offensive seasons, between 27-32. Add in his D, which the scouting reports just missed on.....He's going to be such a fun player for us.
  3. https://twitter.com/TonyMassarotti/status/784768333707112451 LMFAO For real? Oh yeah. Price has given up 41 earned runs in 66.2 innings. Lester has given up 31, in 106.
  4. Excellent Javy article in so many ways.

  6. I wonder what he thinks about any other teams 5-8. You have to figure he thought "this is stupid" before finishing his brainfart.
