  1. Are his constant injuries and his health good signs too? We don't HAVE to trade him. But that's not bad value(and it doesn't need to be a prospect, just that value equivalent) If we keep Dex, its not a horrible idea to look at the pitching he can net. If Candelario nets us the same, fine, look at moving him. But, looking at moving Soler isn't ridiculous at all. He's not very important to us, if we keep Dex.
  2. We would have Schwarber/Zobrist/Bryant for left, assuming Contreras is mostly catching. Fowler/Almora in CF. Heyward in RF. Why do we need to keep him? Depth/protection against injury, to face LHP and because we can? Why trade him just because? He's not bringing anything but a nominal return so keep him and let baseball figure itself out. Or do you just want the Szczur's of the world taking up bench spots? I asked Longenhagen in a chat on Soler's value. He equated it to around the equivalent of a top 75 prospect. If we keep Dex, we've got enough depth. Grabbing a top 75ish prospect, or a pitcher that's came up and has lost a bit of value(but still has upside) seems like a good idea to me. We very well may STILL be selling at the highest point possible. Because injuries and his lack of D are not likely to be changing. We're obviously in a great spot with depth and its not a necessity to deal him. But if that's the expected type of return-I think its good enough to pull the trigger personally.
  3. I don't really see the BB% ever moving past 5-6% or so. I just don't think we'll ever see teams trying to pitch around him. Not when the lineup also has Rizzo, KB, Russell, Schwarber, and Contreras in their primes. Seriously, how horsefeathering good are we going to be in a few years?
  4. That was nice. I still want him to die. The fact I can't heart this more than once pisses me the horsefeathers off.
  5. Sure, Theo DOES view him as an asset. An asset that's improving constantly at the plate. An asset that literally may be the most valuable defensive player in the game. An asset that has an upside that's just silly and an asset that is starting to look like he may reach it. Javy ain't going nowhere.
  6. I think he'd likely be above average too. But I'd just rather have him be excellent in RF, with a very competent CF too. Basically, if it ain't broke, don't fix it crap, I guess. I doubt Dex breaks the bank, 3/51? Something like that? I love his approach, throw Schwarber back into the fray, and the offense looks great, especially with continued progress from the youngsters.
  7. I don't want to move Heyward to CF. He's not likely to be nearly as valuable there as he is in RF. And I don't think its a given we get the old Heyward's bat back. So extract as much defensive value out of him as you can in RF. Especially since we'd be so much better defensively anyway, if he's in RF and having Dex back in CF. We can keep Dex, I don't see why we shouldn't. Having Almora as a 4th OFer helps prop up Schwarber, Zobrist, or Soler in LF too. We've got enough bats to where the defense should take some precedence, in my mind. Just give Dex a 3 year deal and be done with it.
  8. I adore the fact they think they're a threat to us going forward. Bringing up Lance Lynn as a difference maker? Just gives me joy. Seriously, compare rosters and systems.....They're more in danger of finishing last, than they are first.

  11. I was really thinking/hoping we'd get Javy gloriously retweeting everyone talking about how great he is last night.

    Javy Baez

The highest compliment Sneaky paid Javy, was saying he's Marwin Gonzalez.
  13. It was a little over a year ago when NSBB's best and brightest we're hoping he had some shred of trade value left. horsefeathers that. I was always a believer. We've got a nice little group that always believed.
  14. How's our misery porn now you BELIEVEN fucksticks? How about you White Sox dumbfucks that'll be .500ish forever? Mets fans, with your glorious pitching, how you feeling?
