  1. I don't dislike Shaheen. But there were quite a few DB's I'd have preferred. Starting with Wilson, who went next.
  2. Shaheen? Don't hate it. Maybe we can move into the 3rd for a DB....
  3. There's still Wilson, Awuzie, Tankersley, Evans, King, Jones, and Melifonwu out there one pick way......I definitely would like another trade back.
  4. We gave up 221 too. There's plenty left out there. I'm OK with moving down to 60 or so. The quality will still be the same.
  5. And a 4th next year. Very nice. I'd be fine with one more trade down, if it'd also net us a 3rd.
  6. This ain't Bears related, but the other draft thread is dead and I didn't want you guys to miss Foster's story.
  7. Pace got his guy. For that, he honestly should be commended. It took some cahones to do it. He went for it. I'll gladly debate other options and all that, but the bottom line is he went for it. My issue with Fox.....1) It was used as an excuse by some beat writers, that our dead men walking coaching staff were a main reason why some FA turned us down. So, why is he still here? Why are you trusting THIS staff to develop Trubisky? Seriously, a year from now, he's probably learning an entirely new system. Which isn't good at all for his development. And God forbid, if he gets some game action and struggles, you're going to have new coaching candidates wishing they got to pick their own QB and possibly declining the job..... Again, this isn't a complaint on Trubisky right now. Its a complaint as to why Fox is still around. Because if you're literally not working with him to build the roster, why is he here?
  8. Pretty cheesy video, but he better really have been number 1 on all those guys boards to do that trade. Yes but they all said number 1 QB on the board, not necessarily number 1 (or 2) guy on the board. Leads me to believe they were QB or bust in the 1st round which is exactly the type of drafting philosophy Pace has spent 3 years telling us he avoids. That was my first thought too. My second thought is I'd feel more comfortable if Theo made that pick. Even if Theo doesn't know the difference between a football and a hockey puck. The lack of contact bothers me more than anything. Used to Theo taking the thorough as horsefeathers approach.
  9. Supposedly, there's a few teams looking at him as a CB still. Your guy(Desmond King) and Justin Evans are also looked at as possibilities at either spot. With our needs at both and our lack of current picks.....I'd probably prefer one of those 3(not at 36, but a slight trade down), and let it work itself out where the kid plays.
  10. Seattle seems like the ideal trade partner to me. They've got like 6 picks today. And 58,92, and 106 is almost an exact match by the chart. Somehow do that and get some semblance of this..... 58) CB Quincy Wilson, Sidney Jones, Kevin King, Tankersley, Awuzie or S) Melifonwu, Josh Jones, Maye, Evans, Baker, Desmond King One of that group is definitely still sitting there, probably multiples..... At 92 and 106, you can address OT or DL, along with WR/TE, with plenty of value still available at each.
  11. Look, I get WHY he took Trubisky. I disagree on doing it this year and with HIM. But, obviously you needed to find a QB. We all agree on that. The when and who is immaterial now, we've got to HOPE this IS the guy or we're going to suck for a while longer. But......The showing in FA pisses me off even more now. If you knew you were basically punting getting immediate impact in the draft, you horsefeathering HAVE to do better in FA. This really does come off as Pace and Fox(tied at the hip now) buying a bit of extra security. They have 2017 and 2018 under contract and I figure they're both safe thru that period and probably for 2019 as well now.
  12. I like lots of the secondary left. Evans, King, and Williams are my favorite Safeties. Wilson and Awuzie are my favorite CB's left. But, there's plenty others of each I'd be fine with too. Wormley is a favorite of mine, but I'd pass on him, to add more picks. Last year, we went from 41 to 49, picking up 117 and a 2017 4th. Then moved from 49 to 56, getting 124 in return. I'd love to do the same, we'd still have some damn good players on the board, in the late 40's, early 50's. The extra 4ths would be nice too, maybe to grab a DL and a WR/TE.

  15. Hey, we're back on the same page now lol! Its REALLY deep too. I'm thinking we'll truly attempt to recoup the 3rd and 4th.
  16. We gotta trade down from 36 now, right? Maybe even multiple times. I'm guessing a DB is high on the agenda. Maybe a pass catcher of some sort too. There's a solid number of O-Line out there. Plenty of DB's and receivers too. I'm not sure the D-Line needs as much help as those spots do, but I figure they'll use a pick there, at some point. CB- Quincy Wilson, Chidobe Awuzie, Sidney Jones, Kevin King, Cordrea Tankersley, Fabian Moreau, Teez Tabor, Rasul Douglas, Cam Sutton, Corn Elder, Ahkello Witherspoon S- Marcus Williams, Desmond King, Marcus Maye, Justin Evans, Obi Melifonwu, Josh Jones, Budda Baker That's a hell of a lot of solid secondary help left.
  17. horsefeathers dude, my sarcasm meter is inoperable after that pick lol. Glad you're not actually pissed. I'm just giving you horsefeathers because of our Trubisky debate a few months ago. It's all good, bro. Cool. I think the declaration of him not being a 1st rounder is the hottest take I've had in a few years lol.
  18. Meanwhile, here we are at pick 15 and Malik Hooker and Jonathan Allen are still on the board......Guess the injury concerns were warranted?
  19. Your choice to get personal. Not sure what I did to make you say that. Holy horsefeathers, why so serious? horsefeathers dude, my sarcasm meter is inoperable after that pick lol. Glad you're not actually pissed.
  20. Oh wow, didn't even think that. They've definitely got the ammo to do whatever they want. I mean, for horsefeathers sake, they have eventually do something other than horde picks. My first thought is they just want to make sure they'll have the ammo to go get Darnold. But, they'll probably be picking 1st anyway......So, I have no clue.
  21. Oh wow, didn't even think that. They've definitely got the ammo to do whatever they want.
  22. Absolutely.
  23. Besides the fact that i think Trubisky is going to be great, the bonus is that this makes you miserable. Your choice to get personal. Not sure what I did to make you say that.
