Manny Ramirez-OF-Red Sox Jul. 31 - 2:42 pm et According to SI.com's Jon Heyman, the Dodgers are back in on the Manny Ramirez talks, but they're offering Andre Ethier, not Matt Kemp. This after Heyman said last night that the Dodgers had made it clear they were willing to trade Kemp for Ramirez. If the Cubs want another outfielder, then why not trade for Manny? Sure, he is not LH and maybe not the best clubhouse guy, but he can hit. Maybe he just needs out of Boston. The only problem I would see, is where to play him. Not sure how he or Sori would do in RF. Move Fukudome to Center. He could sign elsewhere in the offseason and the Cubs get the picks. -

Roy Halladay is apparently unhappy in Toronto and has let management know it, and management has apparently responded by doing some quiet surveying of teams (such as St. Louis and the Dodgers) that are far, far away from the AL East in an effort to see what it could get for the 2003 Cy Young Award winner. Apparently, the returns other teams are getting for top-talent pitchers such as CC Sabathia, Rich Harden and Erik Bedard has inspired the Blue Jays to at least find out what it could get for one of the best pitchers in the American League. It remains unlikely that they'd deal him, but you never know. No to the Cards!!

He left the board/was kicked out. Not too sure, but there is a long story behind it. That really is too bad, Hoops was one of my favorite posters. I had been wondering what happened to him. No idea what this long story is, but would I be way off if I suspected Meph was involved somehow? Nope, you would not be off at all. Was he actually Meph? Did he have 2 screen names? Or am I missing something?

Hoops fled town months ago. So he no longer posts? Never mind, Prior Power answered that question. Thats too bad, it was nice to have someone on here with some sources. At least we still have Bruce!!

Did anyone else hear what Levine just said on ESPN1000? I have extremely bad reception. He was talking about the Cubs and Sabathia. I think he said the Cubs feel like the Brewers are the only team they have to beat as far as a package. I heard Ronny Cedeno mentioned as well. Can someone help me out?
