For whatever reason I'll always remember that in 2006 in one of the worst seasons I can remember as a Cubs fan, where they played out the string after D-Lee broke his wrist and Dusty had completely soured on the team, that the Cubs went like, 10-6 against the Cardinals. (I looked it up at it was 11-8, oh well) Anyway its not a real thing but its the only thing I'll remember from that season. Neifi's grand dong in the 10th in 05 was also memorable. 10-6 against a 100-win STL team that season.

yea, I'd be stunned if Strop is thought of much at all outside of NSBB'ers. #5 might be John Lackey because of his legendary mound melt down in game 2 (I think it was game 2) last year, but not in a good way. a large contingent of cubs twitter rightfully loves strop I also think that him getting hurt this year caused a lot of people to appreciate how good he is. -
7-5 is fairly realistic and should be enough. Get it done, Cubs. Even 6-6 makes it hard for Milwaukee. Let's say we went: 1-1 vs. Arizona 2-1 vs. White Sox 2-2 vs. Pittsburgh 1-2 vs. Cardinals Milwaukee would have to do something like: 2-0 vs. Reds 2-1 vs. Pirates 2-1 vs. Cardinals 2-1 vs. Tigers Just to tie. And aren't two-way division ties broken by head to head now anyway? We own that, too.
