  1. I teared up watching this. The shots of sluggers and the Aon/BCBS buildings lit up really made it real for me.
  2. He's gonna LOVE The Hangge Uppe!
  3. I don't think the argument was around letting him hit where he wants because he makes a lot of money -- it was more around his salary being a sunk cost at this point.
  4. I was impressed by Phil Rogers's ability to actually make a reasonable point about Soriano potentially hitting leadoff. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/chi-your-morning-phil-soriano-teheran-cowbells-20120305,0,6357611.story
  5. Please. We both know half of Iowa's fan base can hardly speak English.
  6. Hey, at least you got to see one of NUs "racially ambiguous" players tear you up again.
  7. ...and racist merchandise sales around Wrigley will skyrocket. Ha.
  8. Let's ask Meyers Leonard who he'd pick. I don't get it? http://dailybigten.com/2012/02/09/meyers-leonard-not-impressed-by-northwestern/
  9. Let's ask Meyers Leonard who he'd pick.
  10. I'm cool. A win at Iowa and a first round win in the BTT will make it tough for the committee to say no.
  11. Not worth more than my Michael Wuertz/Jason DuBois ball.
  12. You're really still pissed about a walk-on hitting a buzzer beater and Ricky Stanzi's leg, aren't you? Yes. Yes I am. And of all people, you know it goes way deeper than that. Aren't Iowa fans the ones saying they don't get up for or care about games against NU? :-) Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

  14. So that's what it feels like to get a superstar call. Nice.
  15. Ugh, @thekapman is calling the Northwestern-Penn St. game. Might have to watch this on mute.
  16. What a lincompoop.
  17. Regardless of this outcome, Braun is technically still a douche.
  18. Where the hell is Crawford? Hurt?
  19. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/2012/01/14/M6mO7CJj.jpg That was the most widely circulated preview of what it'd look like. That sketch made it difficult to understand how the finished product would look relative to the rest of the OF wall.
  20. Big game in Evanston tonight. Northwestern coming in as the Vegas favorite against Michigan.
  21. Rondo suspended 2 games for not being able to shoot and looking like Lil' Bow-Wow. And for throwing a ball at an official. http://espn.go.com/boston/nba/story/_/id/7595636/boston-celtics-rajon-rondo-suspended-tossing-ball-ref
  22. How could you tell? It's just scaffolding and plastic. Well it's to scale and in actual perspective, for one...
  23. http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2012-02/233743420-17094842.jpg The renderings made it look awful -- this actually looks ok.
  24. The renovated Cell is much nicer than it used to be. Still has lots of issues, but I enjoy watching a few games a year there. Old Yankee Stadium was a mess. That upper deck was scary. They took some cues from Wrigley when they flattened the roof, changed the seats to green, and added ivy on the batter's eye. It's no longer a bad place to watch a game.
