    I wanted us to draft him since high school (though by now, there are others i'd take before him obviously). He seems like a really safe bet to be a quality major leaguer. Maybe not a bonafide ace, but i'd wager he's a pretty safe bet to be a Garza type starter for many years. Though I guess from reading online scouting reports they make it seem like his bust potential is high, but i've always thought a bit of the opposite for some reason.

    Reading the comments section is interesting. Alot are really pissed about losing Morris, and even said they hoped it wasn't him before they knew who was involved. I think a good chunk of those was from a big Morris fanboy, but still nice to read.

He said 2 million in 2010, 3 million in 2011, 5 mill 2012. Maybe it's not 3 years like I was thinking, and more like 2 million as an immediate signing bonus type of thing? I'm not sure.

    Levine was on tonight and said the deal is actually spread out over 3 years, not 2. 5 million in the last year. Only like 2 or 3 this year.

    We rule at this game. Cubs at 5 and only 2 games out of 3 with Arizona's late inning comeback tonight.

    Cubs at 6 and only 3 out of the 3rd pick. I spoke to soon in the other thread when I said that pick 5 was our best case scenario.
