the bad news is they'll be guys like huseby, rundle and logan watkins who aren't really that good. Ehh.. I wouldn't throw Huseby in there yet. I know he's in Peoria, but he's been pretty unhittable this year and has a really good k/9.
Any chance Chad James or Paxton could slide to us (James preferably)? I haven't payed attention to what they are asking for. After hearing Wilken's comments on how he wants LHP, James would be amazing. I've got him higher than a couple who have went already.
I almost hope so because we've been linked to Turner. So if we would be willing to pay near Porcello money to Turner, i'd hope that means we have the money to spend it on someone else if they were to fall. I've been skeptical with the ownership thing, but it'd be nice if we didn't have to be conservative.
From the very, very, very little i've seen of Tate, I wasn't too crazy about what I saw. But still, if he's there, I probably go with him from a pure value point.
http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/draft2009/insider/news/story?id=4224965 I don't have Premium but wow to Tanner Scheppers falling to round 2. The Cubs better pick him if he's there.
I had a choice of Garza, Duke, and Edwin Jackson as the pitchers to get back in a deal and chose Garza. You guys think I did the right thing? Jackson is playing awesome, but I just don't trust him based on his past. Same with Duke.
