I feel the same way. Except the offense as it is right now, should be much more powerful then it is. If the bloop singles and clutch hits stop falling, I would expect the power numbers to sharply rise. We have only hit 7 HRs this month, by far the lowest in baseball. The next lowest is the Nationals with 12. We have 5 players on this roster who have hit 27 HRs or more in a season, and 4 that have hit 34 or more in a season, and right now only 1 player is on pace for even 30 (Aramis) Yeah - I think we'll stop getting so lucky with seeing eye singles, to a degree, but we're also not going to be this awful at hitting homers for the rest of the season. I imagine our chances of making the playoffs - via division or wildcard - are better than 50%, but not by much.
