  1. so maybe Addi is already a 5 win player this year
  2. Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder are a combined -1.6 fWAR right now, and they are still owed a total $285M
  3. if playoffs were happening right now, Jorge doesn't even see the field
  4. he hit it better I bet Bryant's had a higher exit velo but not the launch angle!
  5. long answer: No
  6. Cubs roster has 6 players who are 5+ WAR in the last year and 4 more who are 3.6+ WAR
  7. still laughing at the Yarael Poof mention
  8. Nearly 6 now. higher than Corey Seager & Carlos Correa is this a good time to point out that there's a 40-run difference between the UZR/150s of Russell and the imminent best player / most valuable player in baseball?
  9. According to BP, Berg has an 82% GB% this year, after being at 83% in Eugene and 73% in Myrtle Beach last year. any relation to Justin Berg?
  10. i'm guessing that Federowicz moop
  11. he's 100x better at 3B than he is at 2B playing him at 2nd is like taking a Ferrari through a school zone
  12. Cards being .500 with +40 RD is kind of a chucklefest
  13. i'd have to think Schwarber, Soler, Almora, Cease gets you in the door - Schwarber they can play at just 1B and be AL Silver Slugger...or catch, play LF, whatever - Almora is the exact player Scioscia would create had he the power to do so, and steps right in there to 'replace' Trout - Soler is handsome and still has immense offensive upside - Cease is the Thor starter pack maybe another team could top that, but who's to say if they would; Boston could ponder Moncada, Bradley, Devers, Espinosa but that's a combined million years away from contributing, whereas we can offer 3+ immediate impact players...LAD could entice, but hard to see Arte surrendering Trout to cross-town competitor unless he wants mass-emigration from fans still funny to think that we could make a serious offer for the best player in baseball without detracting at all from a record-pace-setting roster or parting with one of the reputed top 3 prospects edit: definitely worth noting that he's owed 3/102 starting '18 and there might not be a ton of teams equipped to accommodate that commitment
  14. so...Schwarber, Baez, Candelario, McKinney, Hudson for Trout?
  15. when Russell sorts it out offensively he's going to be a monster, and he's probably not far off from doing so
