    what's really wild to me is over the last month, Ben Brown is top-5 (!) in all MLB for K-BB%, xFIP & SIERA so i do feel better seeing that despite a horrid 6.20 ERA caused by extreme LOB%, BABIP, the best available evidence suggests he's likely headed for much better days going forward if he continues the same processes he's doing; but i do accept the possibility that fielding-independent stats may struggle to gauge extreme 2-pitch starters look at this elite company though, i'm still plenty content to play out the string for a while forcing him to tinker a lil bit in the background with a show-me change or whatever

    the Corey Patterson hype realized actually gets pretty close; stylistically,Victorino & Ellsbury work pretty well from recent memory i had seen it mentioned somewhere that he applied a swing change around 7/27 last year and that gives even more optimism he can sustain elite value over a bigger sample

    i think they missed the boat on this, the time to do this was last spring despite his struggles as a show of faith for his ability (also, why aren't they doing this for Shaw as we speak?) you don't wait til he's peaking as top-10 WAR in the early going to start conversations, agents are going to probably laugh in your face

    it's pretty funny to think that an American could possibly ever retreat to a lefty ideological bubble, we're propagandized so effectively and comprehensively you'd have to take some really extreme measures to avoid encountering conservative/corporate framing of most any issue i think the biggest difference really is just that this particular site doesn't give special precedence to the $8 anti-social freaks who want to follow people around shouting incendiary taunts
