  1. you feel for DBs that are inexpicably left one-on-one with him Flowers (5'9) is a great cover corner, but Calvin takes a quick step like we're going to do a goal line fade he can't defend, he braces for it and Calvin just cuts for a slant and Flowers never stood a chance
  2. already another multi-TD game for Calvin
  3. i don't think it's an exaggeration to say the Coors Light bar exam commercial is the dumbest commercial i've ever seen
  4. Linehan's a great play-caller
  5. and Jamaal Charles is down for the count hope he comes back, he's so much fun to watch
  6. oh hey look Freddie Mitchell plays for FSU
  7. OU and FSU are having FGs and punts most schools couldn't even dream of
  8. that geico commercial with the beagle and singing cockatoo is so, so awful
  9. http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/recruiting/ncb/players/full/116220.png&w=350&h=254
  10. (Jackie Slater, Rams '76-'95)
  11. Bruce Matthews did break a record the third player once held his son is currently a WR for the Patriots
  12. right on both accounts
  13. no punters one of the remaining two has played in two cities
  14. darrell green and 2 other people correct nope
  15. trivia: who are the only three players in NFL history to play 20 seasons with one team?
  16. Bears D is almost an every week must-start, right?
  17. Manningham & Best this might be the best week to play Manningham, St. Louis might be without both starting CBs and Nicks is questionable; MM's going to get a lot of burn KC seems like the softer matchup than Washington
  18. i strongly doubt their opinions mean that much to him
  19. another completely ridiculous stat: 98.7%, inconceivable
  20. huh. Salfino said basically the same thing, too
  21. if Weatherspoon tackles Forte like any useful LB does, Cutler probably ends up with a pretty pedestrian game, for fantasy i've gotta go with the guy throwing to Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels over the guy throwing to Devin Hester and...Kellen Davis?
  22. Haha...I linked to it a few posts up. my bad, i must have missed it in the "whine about Bill Simmons" morass not sure what you mean by 'begrudgingly', though. you've gotta understand predictions/prognostications are going to be completely different than subjective accounts of what actually happened
  23. Re-Focused – Falcons @ Bears, Week 1 the Nick Roach line cracked me up
  24. that sucks, he's already one of my favorite players in the league. should make our life easier Sunday, though thinking about it, yesterday's game couldn't have gone any better. we dominated Tampa enough to feel great about our ability as a team, but still made plenty enough mistakes in execution and discipline to give the coaches things to complain about in film study. physically, Calvin's the most perfect specimen i've ever seen play WR, like he was created out of a lab by mad scientists or something: "let's make him 6'5 with a 45" vertical and 4.35 speed and hands the size of dinner plates!" (*hands rubbing together, evil laughter*) don't want to look too far ahead, but Dallas, NYG, Atlanta, NO losing this week can only help us
  25. this. except you probably don't mean it literally
