  1. do we know if his nee is still hurding
  2. i'd like for @notdrose1 to weigh in on this
  3. holy [expletive], i was down 36 points coming into play, with just Marshall and Bears D yet to play somehow gonna win handily, now
  4. i don't like this team much our DL sells out on the pass every play and still kinda sucks at it CBs give 15 yard cushions Linehan has a new rule that every first down play must be an inside run our TEs can't hold onto anything and our special teams, of course edit: and Schwartz, evidently a big Ron Zook fan, punts on 4th and 1 from their 40
  5. remember what i said about our coverage units?
  6. our coverage units are astoundingly bad
  7. so studs still do become available (Justin Upton also comes to mind)
  8. Hanley, Cliff Lee, Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett were all available to basically whoever wanted to pick up their contracts Oh come on. 1.Those are all "bad contracts." 2A. Hanley was traded for a league average 22 year old starter. 2B. Cliff Lee wasn't traded, so we don't know that. 2C. Gonzalez and Beckett were tied together with one of the worst contracts in baseball, and still returned an okish prospect and a guy who I don't like personally, but dexter and somebody else had filling Josh Beckett's shoes. (har har, SSR doesn't like Rubby De La Rosa, what an idiot!!!) are those guys all studs?

  11. i want an oompa loompa now, daddy!
  12. Gary Harris did stay in-state, i heard
  13. that's a weird guy to be decrying the "new abbreviated stats" because they [expletive] love him a 9-year peak averaging more than 7 WAR, holy [expletive]
  14. it's a wonder baseball ever survived Don Baylor winning it over Fred Lynn and George Brett in '79
  15. http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/2012/9/21/3368930/ole-miss-screaming-marine-gif-interview
  16. i don't think we're serious players for KBD, there hasn't been too much smoke on that front
  17. he can also play SS for Houston the team that just traded for him and likes him
  18. Cards D vs. Miami is a dream matchup and isn't Eli basically an every-week starter at this point?
  19. NL average this year is 4.2 runs/game, which we've actually exceeded in September, so we're certainly closer to a league-average offense than we were a few months ago April-June: 3.68 July-Sept: 4.00 you really don't want to know what our pitching has been like the last two months, though
  20. it does help that he has an impossibly-high .375 babip, but the fact remains
  21. guess who's been the best hitter on the team?
  22. de la Rosa's all befuddled that Castro took that pitch out
  23. i'm very much intrigued by the idea of a sub-.300 wOBA hitter being roughly a 5-win player Barney's also 8th in fWAR for NL 2B, fwiw
  24. Cheli makes some good chili though
