  2. well, he whiffs on 31% of his swings in AA, the same rate as 21yo Junior Lake
  3. It's not that bad. i just meant from the standpoint that i like 2.70 FIP / 3.11 xFIP pitchers, but that's more of a personal thing, i guess
  4. it's really too bad that they only had but one Jake Arrieta to give us

  12. Pat Burrell age 22 AA: 117 G .333/.438/.631 (20.7% K)
  13. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tvZQuQg6-Z4/T3UJc1XNWpI/AAAAAAAAA3w/dxnOjuWjXZA/s1600/Carrey.jpg
  14. 19.6% of making the playoffs (higher than pittsburgh!) http://i891.photobucket.com/albums/ac118/ROBsessedBlog2/gifs/Non%20Rob%20Funnies/so-excited-gif3.gif you're surely misreading something
  15. ZiPS right now projects Lake for the best BABIP in baseball going forward, at .345...it is a skill, and he might be the best at it right now so he's still overperforming that a little bit, and ZiPS is skeptical his power will sustain at current levels*, but i'd also argue he's underperformed in other areas of the game like baserunning and throwing, to where he might lose some offense and still be very able to gain back production in other areas to where he's still performing at an average/above-average level *if the model doesn't factor in speed, then i disagree somewhat with this
  16. you're making a pretty stupid assumption Shark will be traded for 18 year olds
  17. no, i want Rodon that seems a little inappropriate
  18. in substituting any of Barney's feeble muscles, Soler would probably start running like the guy from QWOP
  19. [expletive] uncle we get it, you're a dismissive attention-seeking idiot, thoroughly averse to any type of meaningful discussion...why you persist in hammering this point home further and further with every single [expletive] post is a complete and total mystery to me
  20. my immediate reaction was that his new stance looked like Omar Infante's, who's one of the hardest players to K i wonder if Brett Jackson is experimenting with a Alberto Callaspo stance
  21. http://minorleaguecentral.com/ here's Iowa: http://minorleaguecentral.com/team?tid=4512014&table=0&split=200&age=99&amod=%3C=&time=0&q=&table=6
  22. Alcantara AA - 74% AAA - 72% Baez AA - 65.5% AAA - 54% Baez was a year younger at each stop, but i still consider that a significant gap, especially at their current level
  23. please educate me some about your definitive understanding of their futures you're all too well-informed of to even bother with differing opinions maybe it can go in the bin with the Carlos Gomez, Rick Porcello declarations for further revisiting at a later date
