    Eh, he had a few good years. The comparison isn't really the problem, it's more that people think George was this horrible QB when he was mostly decent. I guess in that way he's very much like Cutler. Oh I agree, but Cutler's numbers are absolutely better than George's. George: 131 games, 57.9% completion percentage, 27,602 yards, 154 TD/113 INT for an 80.4 rating (and 41 fumbles) Cutler: 119 games, 61.7% completion percentage, 27,749 yards, 183 TD/130 INT for an 85.2 rating (and 45 fumbles) Right... Cutler is absolutely better. average QB rating when George broke in the league was in the mid-70s the average QB rating this season was 89.44

    his problems with whiffs at AA wasn't a concern because his production was admittedly immense, they weren't a concern at AAA because he needs time to adjust to a new league, they weren't a concern at the pros because he needs time to adjust to a new league, they aren't a concern at winter ball because he's just trying to do new experimental things, they won't be a concern at spring training because spring training is meaningless, it won't be a concern come May because the season is still young / he's not used to his new swing mechanics / he's still young he'll grow the ability to hit the ball

    we'd be indisputably far better next year with the trade scenario i mentioned i guess some might not value that as much as others, though

    what does letting one flounder and lose all value do? also, why wouldn't we be able to keep Zobrist for longer than a year? is he known to be seeking Cano money the winter before his age 35 season?

    if even our bad prospects are all prime talent enough that we can't be bothered to move one for a consistent 5-win player, then we've quite seriously got a clear dynasty in the makings

    he's not, i probably wouldn't trade Russell for Zobrist; i was more saying i would anticipate they'd ask for either player as a centerpiece to a swap for the last 4 seasons, Zobrist is 7th in (hitter) fWAR in all of baseball for the last 3 seasons: 7th for the last 2 seasons: 7th for the last 1 seasons: 13th to whoever said he's on the decline, he hit above his career average this year for wRC+; he's consistently awesome and i'm not really sure you guys fully realize or appreciate this
