  1. don't come crying to me when that 5.41 xFIP comes home to roost
  2. i [expletive] hate Phil Coke i [expletive] hate Jason Motte let's replace both please
  3. don't all "abilities" do that, though? i could say i'm skeptical of the value of HR because Marcell Ozuna ranked 5th amongst CF last year and is tied for dead-last this year edit: beaten to the punch
  4. 70% contact for the last week, this is something you basically expect to suffer with from the youngest player in the league and his track record doesn't give much reason for concern
  5. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view7/3372511/richard-pryor-is-perplexed-o.gif
  6. we are really taking advantage of that FIP today
  7. notable cheater Jordan Walden unavailable for this series, after sustaining an injury likely due to his cheating method of pitching; it'd be a shame if his arm is destroyed
  8. Carl Edwards Jr's transition to the bullpen: http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20150501&content_id=121494768&fext=.jsp&vkey=news_milb&sid=milb "I'm very confident [i can get back to 2013 numbers]," Edwards said. "I always feel like I start slow and get better as I get more and more comfortable. The more innings I get, the more innings I face, you'll see it's going to come back. I'm not even frustrated yet because I know what's coming."
  9. Gleyber Torres (18) is the youngest player in the MWL, yet he's in top-10 for wRC 8 of the top 10 are 22 years or older
  10. Billy McKinney: .290/.375/.435, 11.3% BB, 13.8% K, .304 BABIP (144 wRC+) Austin Meadows: .311/.370/.400, 9% BB, 13% K, .351 BABIP (132 wRC+) McKinney is 8 months older, fwiw
  11. then why not just keep the worse of the 7th/8th starts, seems more judicious than throwing down a huge penalty just for the hell of it
  12. if there are two at the same time to push you past the limit just take the worse of the two starts; makes a lot more sense than expunging the best start for no real reason
  13. then how could we trust that they'd get there ok
  14. ugh that rule really needs changed; just stop starter points after 7 GS
  15. i think Miggy just swiped for the tag a hair too soon, great throw though
  16. great list, but no Treadwell?
  17. he's a guy, but not a *guy* i think is the canned response
  18. recruiting is weird
