  1. well i guess we did not learn our lesson from the whole Goldschmidt incident...
  2. so he'll be Justin Grimm / Cody Allen then if we could get more shutdown relievers like that for live-armed teenagers in SS, i'd do that until i ran out of teenagers, which is an admittedly simple illustration for how relatively little i value upside prayers like Steele & Sands...weren't we kinda upset about giving up on Jeferson Mejia's potential?
  3. Edwards is probably an MLB-ready RP right now with a starter's arsenal and can conceivably do the Carlos Martinez route of easing into an eventual rotation role, which seems *far* more valuable than whatever the Donnie Dewees dreams are...Dewees was the BA #67 prospect in his own awful draft class; where's the excitement?
  4. i fully agree with the second statement, but i'm interested in seeing your list without Edwards i see it like: Schwarber McKinney Torres Happ Eloy? and then that's about the lowest possible spot for me, but he's still probably top-5 unless there's reason to believe he won't ever rediscover command or anything like that
  5. just drop Peacock, raw's ahead of me in the standings and even i don't feel like his or anybody's team would have any type of advantage for being allowed to carry Brad Peacock for free basically i'm saying Brad Peacock sucks
  6. Motte and Doolittle, Sergio Santos also come to mind
  7. Leake and Latos do nothing for me. Love the idea of Brantley ZiPS ROS projects Latos for same FIP as Hamels
  8. my long-standing fetishizing of pitchers that hit well factoring that, and the WAR that actually matters, he's like a 2.5-3 win pitcher for his career (and Clayton Richard/Tsuyoshi Wada aren't) and should be exceedingly cheap to acquire
  9. Indians are interesting, at 5.5 back of WC i wonder what availability of Carrasco/Salazar/Brantley/McAllister will be Mat Latos/Yovani Gallardo/Mike Leake seem ideal targets in terms of value, though
  10. my assumption was carnage all over the field yet just one booking, but i might be way off
  11. prepubescents Willy Adames and Franklin Barreto were both the center piece of significant trades, of course he can be
  12. hey, he likely saved us a Fowler K (before the Siegrist E) by mistaking Dexter's waggle for a time call
  13. i need a gif of his error next to Socolovich's to enjoy in perpetuity
  14. good to see somebody's finally picked up on what a great hitter McKinney is
  15. i still prefer Fowler to Jackson & Venable, and would be more than glad to keep him if his recent struggles suppress his asking price to 3/45 or whatever
  16. i'm not entirely sure we've scored a first inning run since May
  17. combined, they have a worse OPS than Paul Goldschmidt
  18. this [expletive] offense...ugh i just dread Lester starts
  19. a Michael Scott no, even oh god it's the Josh Vitters narrative all over again
  20. Castro's hitting .213/.268/.227 in the cleanup spot (82 PA)
