    If he continues to hit well that will improve his chances of winning a gold glove. The GG is more about reputation and star power than anything else. Matheny is living proof that the "hit well enough to win a gold glove" doesn't really apply to catchers. But he is also proof that reputation goes a long way toward winning the award. He hasn't looked overrated whenever I've seen him play.

    Neifi sucks as an everyday player, but he's decent off the bench. I don't worry about him coming into the game and messing up defensively. I'd worry about Cintron. I could care less about their ages. I care about their skill levels right now.
