    Just what we need---another deal where we give up a reasonably productive player and pay him to play for another team. I got a better idea, why don't we keep them and pay them to play for the Cubs. So...Hairston, Hill, Guzman, Pie + @2 Million for Miggy Cabrera. Sounds good to me. Walker, Hill, Pawelek, Dopirak, Pie, Marshall (or Gooz) + 2.5M for Cabrera maybe.

    his throws tail in to the runner, remember? I think that was some Dusty bs, but Cedeno does have accuracy problems. Great arm strength though.

    Cedeno is great fielding the ball. It's his throws that aren't accurate.

    I like that stance as it would be really unfair to a guy like Matt Holliday who left his team, and put in all the time only to barely play the past few games. On the other hand it's Matt Holliday vs. Barry Bonds. I could care less about relevant talent levels of the players involved. One took risks to play for his country and the other only wanted in after he saw the good publicity.

    Buck Martinez already said that the only way Barry could get on the team is if someone was injured...and no one is, lol. It sounds like he really doesn't want him.

    It is possible to design materials that absorb impact, e.g. bullet proof vests (high K.E.), car bumpers (low speed, high mass and therefore relatively large K.E.). This application would be relatively low K.E. The helmet is obviously fairly solid, so we're probably dealing with some complex microstructure.

    Better protection from getting beaned in the head is due to the new material, not the vents or the new aesthetic design.
