O'Brien is an idiot. According the the Reds announcers (on the Gameday Audio 1hr 14 mins into yesterday's game) they think the trade idea was floated to Hendry b/c he "had that smile on his face." The announcers also talked to the scouts that visit the Reds and the consensus opinion from them is that the Reds don't have a clue what they are doing from one day to the next.

Go back and re-read his first post. That is not the media He didn't say it was a rumor. How can you stick up for this moron? I would encourage you to go back and re-read his posts. He was a troll. Crap like this happens every year. I'm surprised that people who have been here for a long time fell for it. He was good, but not that good. I never said SE said it was a rumor. I said he/she passed it on. The only disparity I see is that SE claimed it came from the organization instead of the media (as the Chicago media claims). That's hardly conclusive evidence of trolling. Yes, I was well aware that he/she might be trolling after reading the original post. I didn't bother to get my hopes up. However, I am not so quick to condemn the words of another person. It's one thing to lie (trolling) and it is another to accuse someone of lying without proof. The "all signs point to" argument isn't valid IMO b/c it's subject to personal interpretation and assumptions.

If Hernandez opts for knee surgery, Washington might plummet. Atlanta gets the division and we get the WC. I could live with that scenario. :lol:

We don't even know what the deal with Wood's shoulder is right now. Maybe he didn't get warmed up enough and the weather (hot and humid in Cincinatti) caused his shoulder to cramp or stiffen up. Wood's past doesn't inspire confidence in this type of situation, but full blown negativity and trade Wood comments are a little ridiculous, methinks. :D

OK, so here's the deal: There was a rumor from the Cincinnati media the Reds were offering Dunn for left-handed pitching prospect Rich Hill, right-hander Sergio Mitre and Patterson. Hendry laughed off that rumor, saying "Never offered, never accepted." quoted from http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/dssports/pro/211sd6.htm If this was a rumor from the Cinci media, why is SE banned? I don't know the particulars of his banning, but it seems to be that he passed on a rumor from a supposedly reliable source (Cinci media) to us. You get banned for that? That isn't trolling, as far as I know. There may be extenuating circumstances, but it looks to me that the Admins may have made a mistake.

what a horrible game. woody has "shoulder stiffness," Rusch can't make a routine play to save his life, Ohman walks in a run, and our 1&2 hitters go 0/8 so far tonight. i hope we got all this bad junk out of our system for a while.

well, if sweetemotion is telling the truth, it will be born out in the future. and if not, who cares? i could be happy with dunn or with hill/cpat/mitre. doesn't matter to me.

I'm more optimistic about this team now than I was during Spring Training. I can't wait to get Nomar back and see Williamson back in action (in the majors anyways). :D

I want to see Novoa and Dunn duke it out for the rights to #44. :lol: The only player I'd be sad to let go is Rich Hill. CPat and Mitre have had their shots and they're just not good enough in present form.
