  1. I'll be out of town, however I would love to get together come playoff time!
  2. I think I was one who posted it the first time and think this was your response. Stop it. :?
  3. One thing worth noting, Wrigley Field is more of a hitter's park then Busch. I think you have to take that in to account. ESPN's Rob Neyer made some comments about this earlier this year http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/allstar05/columns/story?columnist=neyer_rob&id=2105528 AP had an 80 vs DLee's 137
  4. Seriously, is the official criteria for the mvp actually written down anywhere? They are now tied with 32 win shares... http://www.hardballtimes.com/winshares/index.php?search=&linesToDisplay=100&sort=total&sort2=WSAB&limit1=Team&limit2=Position&leagueLimit=NL DLee - .344/.427/.678 AP - .332/.426/ .618 I *think* DLee's stats are a little inflated compared to AP's stats because of park effects.
  5. Ouch, atleast we are still up 6 runs!
  6. I believe it does but I'll ask anyway. Does Win Shares take in account for park differences?
  7. Thanks for the non-biased summary. GOOOOO CARDS!!!!! Pujols > DLee Carpenter > Clemens GOOOOO CARDS!!!!! :D
  8. I voted for the dreaded Yankee's because, well... they are the dreaded Yankees
  9. Would that be smart? I mean he's in a pretty good groove right now. I think missing start would just screw him up. I believe it would be smarter just to put him on a 95 pitch count per game.
  10. Who should be the MVP right now based on the numbers? DLee Who would the writers vote right now? AP I don't even think it'd be as close as everyone thinks because of two major reasons: 1) The cards better record 2) AP has been better in previous seasons therefore he's "due".
  11. I picked the A's but thats a really good point. According to baseballprospectus.com it's a 58.74453 chance... http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/ps_odds.php
  12. Since i'm a homer I'll pick Cards over the A's. I'm a little shocked no one is picking SD!
  13. Dusty, is that you?
  14. As it standw now I think Clemens should get the the Cy Young. I simply cannot believe anyone could look at the numbers and see it otherwise. Clemens VORP (74.9 v 65.2) is almost 10 points higher. That said there's a lot of baseball to be played. Go Carpenter! Go Cards!
  15. good series guys. It always hurts to lose to the Cubs no matter the standings. Gosh, i'm already getting calls from friends. :x
  16. this has been a pretty good game no matter what the outcome.
  17. TRL, is the father of tedious baseball. (I actually like him tho)
  18. Man, if the Cubs win this game I'm going to pay out like 100 bucks in bets @ work tomorrow...
  19. It's not trollish. If he's too hurt to start a game, why risk hurting him further in relief? If he's healthy enough to sustain the rigors of daily hurling, why waste him by keeping him in the pen? It just doesn't make sense. My thoughts to the T. Maybe the team doesn't want their players to think they are conceding anything.
  20. I hope this doesn't sound trollish but I simply cannot believe Wood hasn't been shut down for surgery.
