  1. To be fair I was posting before Z left. Point taken tho, enuff about Z for me.
  2. Sorry, but he's not "telling the truth." What is the truth? Just curious.
  3. Maybe you were looking at his 2nd base defense on BP. I dislike Neifi, but his defensive numbers at short are actually pretty good. I was and your right.
  4. Heck why not dig up the babe? I bet he could atleast draw some walks..
  5. My god, when to the game on thr I'm going to give a big cheer to Dusty. For real, how does this guy have a job? I use to think a managers role in a teams performance was overrated... Dusty has changed that opinion. How can Walker not be starting 2b? How can Burnitz not be in center? If I were a cubs fan i'd be calling for henery's head to - having Macias and Perez on the team is just silly. I hope i'm not sounding like a troll but I really think henery is an overrated GM. The team he's built (that includes dusty) is broken - it's time to clean house. whew. Perez serves a purpose - but it's as late inning defense, spot starting or pinch hitting. Macias imho serves no purpose that a minor leaguer couldn't handle. Is his D even that good? Looks avg to me: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/dt/perezne01.shtml He's an out making machine. He shouldn't be on ANY roster in MLB.

  7. wow is this cubs.com? nice one cards troll. Sorry buddy I dont find this massive collapse funny at all. but then again I thought cards fans had class, what was I thinking. Come on, he's not trolling. On another note, there's a chance the Cards miss the playoffs. Woohoo. Thanks, since I'm a cards fan sometimes it's hard adding useful information to a tread without coming off like a troll. Truth be told if I had made odds before looking BP i would have put the Cubs chances lower (and the Cards for that matter). Everyone should also keep in mind the Postseason Odds don't take in to account the Cubs pick ups like Lawton and Nomar.
  8. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/statistics/ps_odds.php Cubs Postseason Odds: 6.11370 Cards Postseason Odds: 99.34943 The cubs have a better chance then I thought...
  9. To me the most overlooked problem the cubs have is that it's not enough for Houston just to get cold. They also need to play better (ie hotter) then Washington, Philadelphia, Florida and NY Mets. That's 4 other teams they need to pass and that's no small thing.
  10. unreal, I'm a cards fan and that article offends me. lets face it dusty stinks and its plain to see by anyone that watches cubs.
  11. Noway would DePo put up with Dusty. I've read Cubs fans hoping he goes to LA. Where the heck did that come from? Oh and I can't believe Holla was a D upgrade!
  12. I voted yes before. I pretty sure he won't be now.
  13. to many games back, too many teams, not enuff time. Sorry guys, I gotta say no.
  14. Yet another great trade by ATL. This is a low risk and potenial high reward trade. I bet Frans will do great down there.
  15. Easy - The Simpsons is hands down the greatest show ever.
  16. Easy... I'm a Cards fan who lives in chicago. Therefore the sox are my 2nd favorite team. Plus, I'm still bitter about 87.
  17. Wow I'm shocked by this, I would have thought the cards would do much better when their away. Not that I think your wrong or anything but I was wondering where you got these stats.
  18. Interesting - well, I wouldn't neccessarily refer to the Cards fanbase as enormous .....maybe in few parts of the midwest and around St. Louis. Take a trip to the west coast and compare the amount of Cubs hats to Cards hats....I lived there for a long time, and never met a single Cards fan - yet ran into plenty of cub fans. On a side note, I was talking to a buddy of mine the other day, who is a life-long diehard Cardinals fan. He was going on and on about he disgusted he was with the "bandwagon" cardinals fans......thought that was mighty interesting. Then, at last weeks matchup at Busch, I spent the entire game sandwiched between 2 ladies talking on their cellphones throughout the entire game. Not to hijack the trend but considering the size of st. louis their fan base is indeed enormous. I've been to cards games all over the U.S. and I've seen lots of cards fans. Anyway I like the sox and I enjoy going to their games however I agree - they need to get over the cubs. Then again I'm a cards fan and I always check the Cards score then the Cubs score pretty much no matter what the standing are.
  19. Sigh, i feel like a cub fan right now. :x   nefei, un real. good game for you guys. this might be a sign for better things to come.
  20. No matter what happens this has been yet another good cubs cards series...
  21. Come on cards... these cub fans love to have their heartbroken. lets help them out!
