at least he isn't crying like he did after his team embarrased themselves vs. boston What do you expect him to do after the team made it so far and then failed? Laugh in joy? not cry like a little girl with a mullet and weird glasses, that is for sure Weird cards trivia... he wears those so other managers can't watch what he's looking at.

Yesterday at the game I saw a family with a pro CPatt sign. He saw it and got a big smile on his face and then proceeded to have a nice game. I felt good for the guy because I could tell the boos were really getting to him.

I kind of know what you mean. Baseball is so much more fun for me when BOTH teams are playing well. I'm reading reading the TLR book "3 Nights in Augest" (it's about the Augest series in 2003 when the Cubs PROVED they were a better team) right now and it makes me long for high stakes games like those. That said I'm looking forward to going to the game tomorrow and I hope to see good baseball on both sides. As far as the NSBB goes I just want to say everyone on here has been nothing but class to me and for that I thank you. I wish I could find a Cards forum half as good as this one. -
I'm in love! Sox fan girlfriend surpised me with tickets to this game! For some reason my Cub fan friends predict our kids will be violent and smug. :-k Seriously, here's hoping for an exciting game no matter the outcome!

While lurking around here I've noticed mixed feelings about him. The way I see it in a pretty general way: On the plus side... - improved farm system - he's made some great trades. - locks up key players to mostly reasonable contacts - willingness to make bold moves On the not so great side... - signed Dusty and has stuck with him - seems to favor low obp guys - having a big payroll sure makes it earier to make those one sided trades - although the farm system rating has improved it produces less then the hype suggests it should - trades young players when their value is at their lowest - health issues seem to dog his teams. Should he take some of the blame? - did i mention Dusty? Personally, I'd go with "He's on a short leash - give him 1 more year to turn it around!" but "He's no good - fire him now!" sure be tempting if I were the owner. So what would YOU do with Hendry.

Hard to tell. Z went to the clubhouse, and there appreared to be some confusion in the dugout. The Weurtz got up in the pen. z walked into the dugout shaking his head. rothschild came up to him, but z did the finger across the throat thing and walked right past him to the clubhouse. rothschild followed him for a second with a confused look on his face before turning around. bump for RoastTheD---Goat
