    Going to great lengths to avoid Descalso. Just be done with it.

    This seems like a good time and place to go on record in support of Schwarber. He had a 3 WAR year last year at 25, is only now getting consistent PAs vs. LHP (he's improved every year) and I think he has another level coming. Just my opinion.

    Maddon keeps trying to get Descalso going by starting him against the worst opposing pitchers, so his line is that much more amazing.

    Garpax will do something like LaVine, #7 and another 1st to NO for #4.

    This is even more amazing when you consider that he woke up on May 1st with a line of .263 .349 .408 Numbers since (65 PA) .107 .203 .143 For reference, Yu Darvish's career slugging is .169

    Descalso watch: Since the 19th of April (85 PA) Daniel has an OBP% of .190, a wOBA of .177 and a wRC+ of 3. That's about as bad as it gets.

    Dear lord, I just looked up Descalso's last month (76 PA). A robust .186 wOBA and a wRC+ of 10.

    Of the 17 highest wOBA in the NL, 5 of them are Cubs. That's pretty a pretty ridiculous ~30%. Only one trending downward is Heyward, who has 3 xbh in his past 21 games.

    Schwarber has less than 200 career PAs against lefties. I guess that closes the book. The funniest thing to me is that he had a .352 OBP against them last year, so he was showing considerable improvement.

    I think they're hoping that when they accidentally get something right, they can parlay it into a real gig.

    Eh he's 25, he's had 250 career PAs against lefties, and this year he had a .350 OBP against them. I'm not sure he's a lost cause.

    I really hate the idea of trading Schwarber. I feel like he's going to put up some monster seasons, and we aren't going to get a fair return.

    Yeah, Happ had the 12th best ISO in the league as a rookie. (400PAs) I would hate to see him moved in a deal that didn't include Archer.

    I love that we have a 24 yr. old world series hero who is going to hit 30 HRs in a down year and "people" are calling for him to be dealt. 2013 is long gone.

    Yeah, I said the same thing when the videos were posted showing off his 'new swing' a couple of months ago. His adjustments looked like they might actually exacerbate his issues. Hope we don't have to weather a .600 OPS from our full time RF.
