  1. I'm dangerously close to giving up on this game.
  2. Lovie Smith and his crazy challenges..
  3. I think this game might play out very similarly to the MIN game.
  4. Cedric Benson, please. I've had enough of Jones wasting time moving laterally. His first step, every time, is to the side. He could have the seam wide open and he'd cut back.
  5. Okay, so Rex is waaaay too hyped up right now. They need to call some runs and some short passes to get his confidence back.
  6. I just said the same thing to my 2 month old. Need points here.
  7. Well. They #1 defense needs to actually play like it this week.
  8. The TD would have been great, but he had an easy completion for a first down on 3rd and long and threw the ball about 5 feet too high. He usually starts games out a little erratic. He needs to settle down fast.
  9. The 1st play was a killer. They complete that pass to Berrian, the crowd is out of the game and they probably are rolling right now. They have to find a way to take the crowd out of it. Take away the confidence that Arizona has...
  10. Again, I'm sure it was a combination of this and past events.
  11. I hope that's your new quote in 2007. Lets hope
  12. Is that Napoleon on a dragon?
  13. I think what people said about Soriano was that he wasn't worth the player cost plus salary at his Texas production levels. Given that he's a FA and can play 2 positions of need for us, he's a better investment now than he was in 2005. I doubt he'll match his 2006 numbers at any point during his next contract, and his OBP isn't very good, but many posters here would take his SLG% at 2B or CF next season.
  14. The best thing I can say about Piniella is that if Hendry has a quality offseason it won't matter that he's our manager. If we get a typical Hendry offseason full of overpaying mediocre bench players and losing out on actual good players, then Piniella's flaws will be greatly magnified. And, of course, if Ramirez walks. If that happens, we're pretty much hosed.
  15. Prediction Time! Cardinals win 24-21. Leinart gets decent protection from their O-line and has a 2nd good game as Arizona steps up for national TV. The Bears secondary gets burnt for over 200 yards, and the front 7 get no real pressure on Leinart. Offensively, Grossman has a decent game, but throws a crucial pick deep in Bears territory leading to a 'Zona TD. The running game struggles, and a late drive for a tying FG ends when Gould misses his 2nd of the night from 42. reverse jinx
  16. So quickly we forget he was our best player in 2004, including down the stretch when everyone (including Derrek Lee) was absolutely terrible. He had a bad month and a half. I don't see how that means he has no "charachter" or that he's a "loser".
  17. If the Fire play against NE like they played against Columbus last weekend (BTW, Toyota Park is awesome), they won't stand a chance.
  18. That clip is EXACTLY why we need him here - he has the intensity we need Intensity is way, way down the list of the things we need. I cannot stress that enough.
  19. I'm sure that after his Shawn Green comments 2 years ago he was given a "zero tolerance" sort of final warning, which, as ambiguious as this seems to be, would have violated it.
  20. That's the anti-Dusty move. Instead of bringing in some crappy middle reliever, go with your best bullpen pitcher when your season is on the line.
  21. Don't forget-it's Dusty with yelling, so it'll be "awesome to see him go crazy at least". /sarcasm
