If Bradley wanted to look at different combos, why not do that in the 2nd half and let the starters play the 1st? I don't get that at all. We actually looked like we could play a little in the 2nd half.

That miss was criminal I would have been calling for the head of any US player that would have missed that. Then again I can almost picture Jozy doing the exact same thing in a couple of hours. Hopefully that ball falls to Agudelo. Jozy and Landon conspired to do that against Algeria last summer from the six.

Today's game should be interesting. Spain seem to be irritated that they're here, having to play, and we're not going to go balls out with the Gold Cup opener on Tuesday.

I don't know that they are all that far apart in terms of intent, to be honest. To put words in Tree's mouth, I think what he's saying is that there is nothing wrong with allowing people to take their lumps for making stupid statements/arguments. Tree was also addressing a specific complaint, ie "NSBB sucks now because people are mean". He's also saying that if you're going to get rid of the stupid (FDB), go all in and get rid of the stupid and run a board that rewards intelligent (not civil) discourse. TT is agreeing with eliminating thoughtless discourse and adding "consistent aggressiveness" as another area to clean up.

Seriously. I'd much rather bring back Reds44 and baseballnumbers Yeah. Only one sociopathic lunatic allowed at a time. The order of reinstatement should be: -FDB -To be determined EDIT: TT, imb! and Tree have all hit the nail on the head, and I'd bet that two of those three are the people that davearm thinks are too mean/snarky/cliquish. How can TT and Tree both hit the nail on the head when they said such dramatically different things? The board would look very different and be comprised of different members if it was run by TT's philosophy than if it was run by Tree's philosophy. Because I agree with large swaths of what they said? There's more than one reason things have changed. Not sure if Tree posted a philosophy so much as he broke down the two options that the board could go about addressing the complaints about snark, etc.

So basically you think Ricketts has done everything right the past 18 months? Good to know. The Hayden Simpson pick, retaining Hendry, completely [expletive] up the asking for public money to fix Wrigley, Todd appearing on Undercover Boss and looking like a moron, and now pretending that injuries are the only thing wrong with this awful team is OK with you? -Did Tom Ricketts run the draft? -Any team owner with half a brain will try and get the state to kick in money for a stadium. It happens everywhere, but somehow our guy is the idiot. -Who cares about him going on Undercover Boss? Would it make you feel better if, instead of helping a bunch of hot dog vendors and car valets, he spent those 4 days screaming obscenities at Jim Hendry from a box seat, throwing paper clips at Alfonso Soriano and berating Chad Marshall?
