yep, only tv pair that never tried to do the constant comparisons to mainstream sports. YA SEE WHAT DONOVAN DID THERE WITH THAT PASS? LIKE A QB FINDING A RECEIVER ON AN OUT ROUTE. Shut up, JP. Their chemistry was fantastic as well. They played off each other very well, and Sullivan's observations were typically very astute.

Rogers must have been practice fodder. My big regrets on his roster choices mostly revolve around his allergy to Bobby Convey, who I still think would be a useful attacking left back. I hope for the 'Nats and his sake that Freddy's turned a corner from a maturity standpoint. When he's played in Europe-for Benfica, his one appearance for Monaco, Aris and for Rizespor, he's played well. He's just acted like an immature ass and not a pro. I hope this is his turning point. This lineup...I can't wait to see how it works out; lets put it that way.

I don't know, Wolf. Bob has looked at nearly everyone in the past 5 years. I think the idea with leaving Bedoya off (who I am still not sure about) was that he didn't want to pull him out of his club season if he was going to be third choice. In hindsight, who saw Benny getting hurt and LD being bad? The Freddy thing is crazy, I'll grant, though he does bring something completely unique to the US. If he's really beginning to turn into a useful piece, then doesn't Bob deserve credit for bringing him in, and allowing him to shake some rust off and practice his way onto the 18?

So Donovan is dropped to the bench today (probably because of the cross country flight, but still, wow), Adu makes the bench and Sacha and Bedoya start on the wings with Clint and Jozy up front. I like that Bradley sees that this team needs offensive creativity off the bench and is giving Freddy a shot at that role if needed. I'll say this much: if we lose, not only will Bradley be fired, but Landon (and Clint if he plays poorly) are going to get crucified for the whole sisters' wedding nonsense.
