It's intellectually dishonest to say KSU has played a tougher schedule that ND. It's closer by comparison to Oregon's, but then you have to account for Oregon simply eviscerating everything in their path. KSU's probably the 4th or 5th best team in the country.

1) full season. 2) If you're looking at potential trade offers from other teams like Upton + Bauer + Davidson -- whether you project Starlin as "really good" or "hof" is kinda critical to the equation, don't you think? Half his season showed increased patience, which coincided with a change in hitting coach. How is the back half weighed more heavily than the front half? 22 year old players are pretty fungible in terms of their ability to grow. Also, 22 year old cost controlled SS's with plus tools don't just grow on trees. Not these days, anyway. If someone wants to trade for him we should rightly ask for all the things. -

If all those guys decide to sign with us, and we decide to actually spend the money to sign them, I'll be pleasantly surprised. -
You're missing the point. Do you really believe that their player development is going to be so flawless that we'll have a wave of 26 year olds AND a bunch of tradeable blue chippers ready to go in 3 years? I'm going to save you the thought time: No. That's not going to happen. I'd bet anything short of my life on them not having a pile of really good young players breaking through all at once and a pile more available to deal. And the thing about our FO's success: only really one of those guys has that track record. And Epstein basically leveraged an immense financial advantage to build a system that complimented the really fricking good players that were already there and had already won a title. He didn't build anything from scratch.

I mean, you might as well say "and all the season ticket holders will get a magical pony". If that's seriously the plan, we could have saved a lot of trouble by just hiring Dayton Moore to play farm system roulette for the next 5 years.
