  1. Hey, cool, it's the worst possible start.
  2. Color me an optimist. Growth from Castro + Rizzo + Castillo would help a lot as a foundation. Replace Barney's offense so far this year with a bit of a breakout from Alcantara. Swap Soriano for Choo. Add in the next round of Maholm & Feldman's. Add a competent bullpen. I could see 85+ wins for that team. Are we talking about growth from Castro relative to where we all though he was in April, or growth from where he is now? Because if it's the latter, that is only an upgrade from godawful to okay.
  3. Magee has just been ridiculous in the past year and a half. That chested finish today was really great.
  4. If anything, it's probably a ham-fisted leak to try and get the protesters to unite against hating England-which they love-and shock them into thinking they could lose the tournament. I don't think the people down there give a crap, though. I think USSF could pull it off more easily than England in some ways. We have the massive stadia everywhere, infrastructure, the media echo chamber, the built in ticket buying base, 3 of the largest media markets in the world... Gil is sooo good, and Kreis and Co have done a fantastic job developing him.
  5. I don't see how it's possible at this point, but there are apparently background discussions on moving 2014 to England if the riots/protests in Brasil keep up.
  6. Go back further to the turnover down three, and Green gets all excited and launches a 3 instead of doing anything but shooting the ball.
  7. No... that's Juwan Howard. Or is he Wooderson from Dazed and Confused? No, its definitely Chalmers. They clearly only tolerate him out of obligation/necessity.
  8. Chalmers is that kid at the fringe of the popular group that is only there because he has a car.
  9. Hey look, Manu Ginobli is channeling Duncan Keith
  10. Credit where credit is due; San Antonio had chances last night, and tonight, and they didn't execute, and Miami played well.
  11. expletive
  12. I really want the Spurs to win, but in no way have they played like they deserve to.
  13. Oh [expletive], Duncan. How many times have you made that shot?
  14. Lord, Danny Green and Chris Bosh should go out for coffee tonight to discuss who was the least useful
  15. It's really impressive that Wade is still able to finish at the rim despite tearing his ACL 4 times tonight.
  16. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU Battier.
  17. Aw [expletive], Green.
  18. Ugh. This one's over barring something weird.
  19. Jesus Christ, Manu
  20. Ok, so for as much as American sports fans loathe Italian soccer players going down on the field like there's snipers in the stands, they sure do tolerate a lot of the faking/flopping/exaggerating injuries from certain players.
  21. As much as I hate them, when Miami decide to go balls out on defense, they're really tough.
  22. Solid decision, Danny Green.
  23. I'm going to end all my encouraging sentences at work now with "dog"
